Big Woods Lake Campground

Pretty awesome new campground. It has reversal sites that allow groups to face their doors towards each other. They also have many pull through sites. They are well graveled and level. Some sites back up to the lake. They also have a brand new bathhouse and some cute cabins to rent.

Great campground with full hook ups. A shower house with bathrooms, playground for the kids, plenty of green space and a nice "no wake" lake for fishing. The only only real downside is there arent very many mature trees within the camping lots for shade and wind breaks.

The park is very nice. Ben helped us get registered when we arrived and directed us to a great spot in the park! The lots are spacious with picnic tables and grills for cooking. They have bathrooms and a playground for kids. The lake is beautiful with a story trail if you want to walk around the lake. We will stay there in the future if there are spots available.

An EXCELLENT campground and park. Well taken care of, full hook-up spots right next to the lake, has a bike/walk trail that goes around the lake and connects to miles of trail system, big clean bathroom/shower rooms, a nice little play ground, fishing docks, etc. Close to town but far enough away. A++

Great county park located by Big Woods Lake with a blacktop bike trail passing by the campground. Their water is on, so the sites are Full hookups.

Its beautiful here. It's a bit pricey if you need full hookup but otherwise not bad. The playground is small but the view is great!

I haven't actually stayed here but visit the lake often. It's a beautiful area, gorgeous lake, and I would assume the camping would be good too given the location. It's a nice quiet area to get out into nature.

Nice, clean, level gravel spots. Nice restrooms/showers that are cleaned and sanitized 3 times a day. Campground host is very friendly and helpful. Basically we just needed a place to spend the night, refresh in the morning before we get back on the road. $25 for full hookup.

It's a great place to walk around. My dog likes taking walking laps around the trails. I've also kayaked here a couple times and it's got nice views!

This area has some of the best biking/walking trail systems in the country! It's a scenic 15 minute bike ride from the campground to downtown Cedar Falls. The food at Whiskey Road was fantastic. The sites have full hookups, wifi, and fire pits. There are bathrooms. No laundry facility. In early July the campground was about 85% full.

Clean campground. It's right on Big Woods Lake, which is a beautiful no wake lake. Great for fishing and kayaking, or just watching people fish and kayak. There are full hook up sites as well as primitive. The Cedar Valley Nature Trail runs by the campground. It's a beautiful walking or biking trail. It is a popular campground but doesnt feel like you're too close together like other campgrounds in the area.

This was a very nice RV park with a lot of space. Not a lot of trees or Shea but the weather was nice enough so we didn't have to worry about being too hot. This location does have electric water and sewer 30 and 50 amp. We stayed there comfortably for several days driving back and forth to visit relatives.

On of our favorite campgrounds. Right on the bike trail that connects all over cedar falls.

Family oriented or just a couple of friends, walking trails, biking, hard surface trail for biking or running, fishing, kayaking... perfect getaway

Spacious sites, full hookups for 30 and 50 amp. Also had primitive sites, lake close by and a reasonable price. Close to town for your needs. Very friendly and helpful host. Dump statuon on site and a water hose is needed. Also had a few cabins for rent.

We love camping at Big Woods!!! It's so nice, quiet, and has the out of town feeling while still being in town.

Great place to enjoy a day outside with the family! Excellent for kayaking!

Beautiful place. We don't camp but we love to ride bikes.
