China Garden on Gravois

I had their Szachuan Spicy Chicken and it was very good. It has this old school St Louis style Chinese food that was made in a well cared for old wok, if you know the flavor that I am talking about, then you know the flavor that I am talking about. The real star of my meal was the fried wonton appetizer. These perfectly shaped, delectable tasting wantons were fantastic. If you decide to order from here, they don't have dine in, I would recommend adding an order of fried wontons.

Don't be discouraged by appearances. This place slaps. Chicken fried rice includes diced green onions and HUGE chicken bites.

Empress Chicken combination plate took me on a way street to FlavorTown™ - Steamed Vegetables are so fresh, wow.

5/2/23 was my first time having China Garden & i have to say i'm very impressed. Nice portion, chicken fried rice was cooked to perfection. This is a must try spot, you wont regret it.

Prices were very reasonable and the amount of food abundant. Flavors were good and spice just right for my taste. One dish seemed to be missing lobster but the other was full of scallops. This will probably become my go to Chinese take out spot.

We will go no where else ever again. We just moved back into the area and this was our first choice to try. No need to look any further. Fried apps aren't overly greasy. Sweet ragoons. The pork is real, big pieces, and not overly chewy. They pack their food in containers that can be reheated and reused. My husband is super picky about his sesame chicken and he says it's one of the best. The restaurant was super clean and the people are very friendly. They gave us free sodas with our order and they had a great variety. Even crush peach and pineapple.

Staff is very polite and kind. We ordered from here because our Airbnb was just down the street. Food portions were great and prices were cheap. Great experience all around

My husband and I visited on 8/3/19. We were actually trying to go to a different Chinese restaurant but accidentally ended up here. It was a great accident, because we ended up loving the food! They have a ton of options to choose from. I ordered the garlic shrimp dinner, and it came with a side of rice and 2 crab rangoon. Everything is very affordable here, and the portions were huge! Food was super tasty and hot. We will definitely be back!

I love coming here. The staff are always so nice and quick for getting my food ready. The food is always hot and delicious. Their teriyaki chicken kabobs are my fave. Definitely recommend going there for some of the best Chinese food in the city.

Standard fare with light breading, not overly heavy on sweet sauces, and crispy fried items. The sauce packages are available, but it is rare that I use them.

Very fast delivery. Food is fresh and very good. Prices are very reasonable. Quanity of food is always more than expected so we always have leftovers. And who doesnt love lucnch for the next day. I usually order our chinese from another place in there area and they happened to be closed early on Sunday. This is my new first choice for chinese in my area. You wont be disappointed.

Great staff, quick delivery times, food is good at reasonable prices. Try a combination plate with fried rice and egg roll with side of pot sticker sauce to dip your egg roll in, it won't disappoint!
