If you want NY Style pizza with no arguments about keeping to the particulars of the genre, this is your spot. If you want one on Friday or Saturday you better order it by 5pm if you want this STL-NY Zza. The owner was very matter-of-fact to a gent that thought his pizza might be ready 10mins before they told him it would be, but with a smile. He was super cool with me, dressed in a well-worn black Nike shirt that said "Queens" on it, explaining why/how the sausage comes in shaved ribbons on the pizza, sort of gyro-esque. The sausage comes in rolls, they bake it, cool it, then shave it thin. It's pretty great, but I'd probably order extra sausage next time. If you're eating in (my guess is that less than 10% of orders do this) I highly recommend a few dashes of the granulated garlic on the tables. If there'd been a space heater tucked around the corner with the tables my atmosphere score would've been 5⭐, but whatever...we left our coats on and it was delicious. If it's chilly out put your pie on the stand; the cold table made our second pieces almost regular room temp that fast lol. Will definitely order again!

Awesome pizza at a small place on Delmar. I was staying about 10 minutes away and didn’t want typical St. Louis style trash pizza so I am glad I found this gem. I will definitely have to go back when in the area. Guy behind the counter was super nice and made sure I had everything that I needed and then some.

First time in today and it was a great experience. Had a craving for New York style pizza and this didn't disappoint. I think what was most refreshing were the guys working. They were nice and conversational! Pizza hit the spot - will be returning!

Amazing pizza place! In my never ending search for a great New York style pizza, I saw a Dave Portnoy review of this place. I had try it and I was IMPRESSED! Pizza tastes fresh, both crust, sauce and cheese simple yet perfection! The guy behind the counter was awesome to converse with in between orders! Friendly place, great pizza. I was throughly impressed. Thank you guys!

Best pizza in St Louis, no questions about it. If you want crackers with provel this isn't your place, this is real NY pizza.

Love this place. It's the best pizza I've had since moving away from Connecticut 25 years ago. It's no wonder they sell out some nights. That said, I came here to offer some constructive criticism about their salads. I still do not get why they give you like whole leaves of lettuce rather than cutting the lettuce. Do they expect me to eat my salad with a knife as well as a fork? Do they expect me to fold it origami style so it will fit in my mouth? Would they like to cut the lettuce that goes in their salad, but they simply don't have a knife in the kitchen? Or are they simply trying to discourage customers from ordering their otherwise yummy salads, particularly since the pizza is so good? Some people like salads with their pizza, sue me. I don't quite understand this position on not cutting the lettuce. The homemade salad dressing is actually really good.

Went to all the "NY Style" pizza places I could find in STL. Nobody has recaptured the taste and feelings I got from the pies I had up in Brooklyn and Queens in the many years since then and then finally, La Pizza! How could I have not ever found or tried this place!? I didn't look hard enough. Better now than never! There ain't nothing closer to a NY 'Za than La Pizza. Since having em, it's always on my mind and when I can get my hands on another slice.

Old school mom and pop pizza place. Excellent New York style pizza. Cheese pizza was amazing. Wish they sold pizza by the slice . Best kept secret in the U.

We stopped at La Pizza on a whim while driving home; we we very pleased with the outcome! The Deluxe Meat pizza was delicious and not like the ordinary fare at pizza chains. The Stromboli and cheese calzone were excellent! The price seems a bit higher than other chains but the food quality and uniqueness is worth the cost. We will return!

The perfect little NY style pizza place here in St. Louis. The pizza is absolutely fantastic. It's about a 40 min drive from our house, so we don't get to come often, but it's a real treat when we get to. The crust is perfected NY style, crisp outside yet soft inside like a French baguette. The sauce just has a freshness to it like nothing else I've had. Same with the mozzarella. It's like someone is next door making up fresh cheese for each day. You can just tell they care about their craft. It's so abundantly clear in the product produced.

The reviews led us here and we weren't disappointed. Even though my husband prefers a thicker pie, this was the next best thing. Handthrown, chewy edges, delicious middle, excellent sauce and ingredients and REAL mozzarella cheese. Not that hideous travesty of a imposter, provel cheese.🤯
We ordered a medium and an order of cheesy, garlic bread, all in all, an A+++ meal.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, you won't be disappointed.

Authentic NY pizza! Fresh ingredients hand selected every day. Paul (owner) and Edgar personally prepared our pizza and the depth of flavor was unreal. Crust was fantastic. 100% recommend. They do NO advertising all word of mouth. We bailed from another restaurant to get pizza here and we were thrilled with the food here.

Happy a real pizza place exist in stl. My fave spot is in merchantville,nj called Vincent’s pizzeria. Lapizza has it down packed the vibes inside reminded me Jersey and the awesome pizza. Lapizza is the best I’ve had in St. Louis.

As a former New Yorker, this pizza is on par. I drive 45 minutes to pick it up. The guys behind the counter are excellent and they're true New Yorkers as well. It is a pickup only place

Coming from NY I can appreciate an authentic NYC pizza. This pizza was marvelous. It had just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The sauce was tangy and seasoned wonderfully.
I told my husband that I haven't had a good slice of pizza in over a decade. He pointed out that for half of that decade I lived in NY state, but I had to point out it was Buffalo, NY. Rambling aside, this place has NYC pizza and I'm in love.
Also my dog approved too,but she's never been to NYC.

Literally the best pizza in the Saint Louis metro area bar none. I ordered two cheeses today, like we do almost weekly. I was born and raised in Philadelphia/New Jersey area, and this pizza tastes like home. I cannot stress enough how delicious this pizza is, it’ll make you slap your momma. Jokes aside the pizza is a 10/10.

This pizza is so good, it doesn't need toppings or pepper flakes or extra cheese. It's so perfect. This is my favorite spot in town. If you love NY style, I highly recommend checking it out. This satisfies that NYC craving between trips. It's best to call in your order, but do so early bc they do run out if you wait too long to order. They also sell pizza by the slice which is great for a quick lunch. Freaking delicious.

Zero style but great pizza. But let’s face it. If you don’t go to this place because of its lack of curb appeal you’re not a pizza lover. The best pizza joints on NY and Jersey are hole in the walls. This place is the real deal for pizza.

Second time going, my daughter and I love this place. She said this is her favorite pizza place in St. Louis.
