Great little gaming store very welcoming owner and people with a large playing area for all your needs if looking for a good place to play highly reccomend.

Really cute little store, limited selection but it's understandable given the size of the store. Chill atmosphere unless it's really busy, in which case things can get a little loud but that's not really the store's fault. Also gotta' appreciate how they stock a couple of things from local small businesses, always a really good touch.

Key thing is Spencer (I think? Sorry if I get your name wrong) is a really lovely chap, always willing to teach newbies to his hobbies, spent a good few hours teaching my partner some mini painting techniques early this year and it has really paid off for her.

Grandson really enjoys the comraderie here with other lovers of the games. Great helpful amd friendly owner. Amazing experience. Thank you.

Very welcoming environment. The owner is friendly and attentive. There is a decent variety of new tabletop games, as well as a used consignment section. Owner even offered to order in games that weren’t on the shelf. Accommodating to even the casual board gamer. Was not pressured by staff to buy something or hounded upon walking in. Very pleasant experience.

Nice game shop with a decent size game room. If you're lucky, they will have their cookies in stock for when you want to spend some time playing games there. Fully support Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, Pokemon TCG, Warhammer, and more.

I was amazed. I try to shop local as often as I can. My 8 year old son really wanted to get into Pokemon. I know nothing about it. At all. We were greeted by Alexander. We were given time and space to look around. He handed us off to Spencer. Spencer was very kind and informative. He never acted like he was frustrated with our lack of knowledge. In fact, it felt like he appreciated the curiosity and the opportunity to enlighten us. We had a great time. Thank you both for the help! We are looking forward to returning.

A small selection, but good for it's foot print. The owner is always really accommodating and very helpful. We ended up with a huge group to play with little to no notice and he let us kind of take over a good section of the store to setup.

If you need anything he doesn't have, he can order it. His prices seem to be usually on par or better than online; there have been a few things more expensive than online, but it's worth it to support a local store.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I appreciated that they had items for all my D&D needs. Also a great selection of games and Magic cards.

Cozy but a really fun shop. There’s always something going on even if I don’t know what game is happening. John the owner, Is very nice and seems to be knowledgeable about Many a thing when it comes to games whether it’s magic to gathering, dungeons and dragons, or board games he seems to have his finger on the pulse of gaming. I often times harass him with endless questions about painting techniques and small talk in general and he never seems to mind. I generally find what I need here and if not he is willing to try and track it down for me and have it ordered in. Support your local brick and mortar! In or around Ankeny? Do you like Magic the Gathering? Warhammer? Pokemon? Go down to Arkham Games and check them out. DO NOT BE FOOLED! From the outside it looks like a dinky little store with little to offer. Open the door and walk in to find looks can be deceiving. The owner, John, is a very nice, knowledgeable man that truly seems to care about the games he sells and his customers that purchase them. Can't find what you are looking for? Ask, I witnessed him looking up several items for another young man while I looked through the boxes of singles. I was having a hard time finding some Dragons to add to my deck and John jumped right in to help. I will definitely make this my first stop for all my MTG needs in the future!

Very nice people, had a pride flag which is always a plus, had some free mtg and pokemon cards to help people get started. Very nice small game store with some tables to play at. If you are into Pokemon tcg or Mtg i highly suggest going

Arkham Games is honestly one of the best game shops I have ever been in. Spencer does a great job interacting with everyone that comes in. Also is wling to teach anymore to play multiple games. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and everyone in the is just looking for some good games in the game room.

Lovely yet small game store. Despite the size the feeling of welcome is quite large. There are tables and chairs for those looking for a place to play and good selection for those looking to purchase.

Dungeons and Dragons every Wednesday @ 6 p.m. Open MTG every Friday. John, the owner, is superb and will help any gamer find the right tools for the game. A welcome and fantastic addition to the Ankeny gaming community.

This is the best hobby store in all of Iowa. Friendly and knowledgeable owner and a fantastic crowd to play games with. Magic, Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer, board games, all things that can be found here. 10/10.

I really like going to this place. It's really laid back, everyone is nice, and the Magic the Gathering tournaments are smaller and more casual. Definitely a good place for both new and experienced players.

Very nice small game store. Being in a small location the store does a great job catering to everyone. 1/3rd magic, 1/3rd board games, and 1/3rd open area to play board, card, or miniature games.

Tons of board games, card games, TCGs, and great game room. Always stocked with snacks and great people to play with. You can always find something to play at Arkham!

A smaller shop, with a great selection. The service is amazing, they will try to answer any question you have. They also do game nights throughout the week.
