Ocha Bubble Tea, Ankeny

Came with a friend today. Wonderful time, great as always :)

Tasty milk with strawberries and rose. The croissant waffle with strawberries and cream was delicious!

Love the tea here! Our personal faves are the taro milk tea and Thai milk tea. We usually get honey boba as well! The flavored green teas are also really good especially with the popping boba. Will definitely be enjoying this place all summer! Also just a note if you buy the bears the straws do not go all the way to the bottoms to reach the boba. I think they have reusable glass ones at the store that do though!

This is a wonderful place to get boba. The barista was fantastic and friendly. My wife and I both loved our drinks. The best boba we've tried in the area. Definitely intend to go back. My wife got the lavender milk tea with boba. I got the taro milk tea with boba, and they were awesome enough to add matcha to mine, which is my favorite way to have boba. I recommend this place. Totally worth it.

Right when we entered we were welcomed and greeted. The workers were kind and friendly. They let you add a wide variety of flavors and edible boba/toppings to your drink. They were quick with making the drinks. But most importantly it was delicious, at a reasonable price. I can’t wait to get my next drink.

First time having boba. Was pretty good. The pearls tasted like orbeez but that's probably because I'm not used to eating and drinking at the same time and the flavors might have confused me. Love the waffles on sticks. Had the golden one with caramel it is to die for. Not literally but...ya know. . .

The one negative is that it’s expensive. The upside is that this is legit bubble tea. My standard black milk tea with brown sugar boba was around $9. I say that as a person who has lived in Taiwan and vacationed in Taichung City, the city where bubble tea was originally created. Some bubble teas have old boba and nasty fake drink mixes. Not this place. Well done black pearl/brown sugar boba and the choice of sweetness that I like.

Most authentic boba tea place in the DSM area! The boba is always cooked to just the right consistency- not too chewy or soggy. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried so far!

EDITED: Had an unfortunate experience at the Ankeny location. I reached out to them via social media and they replied to me almost immediately. They completely rectified the situation and could not have been more professional. I knew they had a good product but was relieved to find they also have top notch management. Best Bubble Tea in Ankeny!

Tried this boba shoppe for the first time with a friend. The "Hokkaido milk tea with boba was really good, after testing the Thai tea, I went with the Thai coffee with boba, which was really nice and my first time having. I will visit this shop again!
