Dave is an amazing cook and such a kind man. My mom and I enjoyed talking with him for a bit today as he prepared our meals. The tenderloins and fries were absolutely delicious and his dog Brownie is SO SWEET ♥ My mom and I are both from out of town and Slater is so lucky to have these two. I’m so happy we stopped.

Best pork tenderloin I ever had. Great fries as well. Friendly owner. I will for sure be heading back for more. Owner said he would be there till the end of September.

Ask for the super tenderloin. It's his famous tenderloin (which I would argue is the best tenderloin I've ever eaten). Topped with 6 slabs of brisket, 4 pickles, BBQ sauce which was sweet yet subtle, topped with a hefty handful of stringy fried onion rings. Easily the best sandwich I've ever eaten. It comes with a basket of fries, which were also very good.

Coles is historic in many ways! A long-time staple of the Slater crossroads, Coles makes visual and culinary history with its amazing tenderloin, burgers, and ice cream. Add military and family history and one gets a perfect slice of pure Americana. DELICIOUS!!!

Tenderloin, fries, cheese curds, and peanut butter panic were all very good!

The food was great, the worker left much to desire. Tenderloin, fries and cheese balls were delicious and finished off the trip with a peanut butter panic cyclone ( ice cream). Also delicious. The employee was less than enthusiastic to be there.

I wish I could give Cole's six stars! Their tenderloins are the best I've ever had. He pounds, batters and fries them fresh to order. They also have some killer chili!!

Fantastic food for the weary wayfarer. Cole's is a convenient eatery for those traveling via bicycle along the High Trestle Trail. I find myself along this trail quite often (as I am a hapless bum with no car) and have noted Cole's as the nest restaurant along the way by a long shot. Cole himself is a great cook and an even better man! Eat his food right now. DO IT!

When I first ordered from Cole's the chef declared confidently "Get ready for the best chili cheese fries you've ever had." I was really skeptical because I've tried chili fries from many different places. On my first bite I realized he was absolutely right in his confidence. I make sure to go here any time I'm in Slater

Stopped by on a whim one day and what a great find! Everything we have tried has been great. The macaroni balls had a great aoli sauce and it changed my perception of how macaroni can be served. The homemade pecan pie is awesome. The owner is So friendly and we have really enjoyed visiting with him. If you're in the area, or even if you're not, stop in- you won't regret it.

My family and I eat here all the time. It is local so we can just walk, but I would much rather order a tenderloin from here than drive anywhere,else to get one. It is the best tenderloin I have had in my life. Prices are not bad either, for about 12 dollars you can get a massive tenderloin, decent helping of fries, and a drink.

Great food---Best tenderloin I ever had and I've had a lot! $9.70 for a tenderloin that could feed 4 and a malt.
Place is just a hole in the wall and not much staff or seating so don't plan on taking a large party and being waited on.
Definitely worth going out of the way for a cheap date.

Best tenderloins we have ever had! Tasty breading and very tender. The fries were great too. Ask for his special sauce!

Just ate lunch here - this place is awesome. The guy really knows how to cook. The tenderloin was the best I've ever had by a mile. Chili was good, vanilla malt was great. Great, friendly guy.

Absolutely fabulous burgers, shakes, and fries. I haven't had their famous tenderloin (I'm not a big fan of them in general) but my husband thinks it's amazing (nice and thick!!).

It looks like restaurant is running slower than usual due to quarantine and I am not sure if East street or grub hub serve them. This is a great place for pulled pork and tenderloin. If you are hungry and passing by this place stop by them for a good quality food.

Tenderloin was among the best I've ever had, if not the best. You could tell he really loves to make good food, and just share it with others. Will definitely be back!

The tenderloin is the best around. Just had the Texes brisket. Wow!!! Had a sample of some homemade marinara. Holy cow he can cook!! I am a lover of food! And Coles has awesome food!!

Best hamburger I have had in a long time. Worth the drive to this small place, glad we found it. Will back again and again.

Great tenderloins. Others had barbecued chicken and a hamburger. The fries were excellent. It is worth the drive. We will go again.
