We have been there to get stamps on our nebraska passport program. I can say this place was the most impressive one for me. Shout out to the retired navy man who gave us a one hour private tour for the place! He is a very enthusiastic person for what he is doing. It was the most informative stop on the passport program so far. Just make sure you book online(it is free).

Awesome place - give yourself time to talk to Eric about the collection, to ask questions, and to reflect and take it all in. A great stop - learned a lot and got to see some really impressive history. Eric’s a great caretaker for this important collection. We had a lovely visit and left wanting more, so we are making plans to revisit this summer for the street history scavenger hunt and some of his other programming!

Great black history museum. The curator was extremely knowledgeable. He also knew the history of the surrounding area, and a bonus he gave us was knowledge of a great place to eat.

Eric did such a great job retelling a bit of Omaha's history! So many goosebumps hearing about Omaha's dark side and its part in lynching.

I LOVED this museum. It’s intimate, but you’ll never forget the tour, the photographs, the images, the HISTORY held within this space. I was so impressed by the historical knowledge of the director. All my life, I had seen the harrowing image of Will Brown, but had never seen him humanized, until my visit to this museum. I had a chance to see him for the very first time, and hear his story. It’s a visit worth understudying. If you’re in Omaha go and I hope you will donate monthly to the museum as well.

My friend Eric Ewing is at the top of his game with respect to museum workings. I'm hoping that with funding this organization will be top class with respect to any and all museums worldwide

This was an amazing place. The tour guide was very animated and very knowledgeable about the artifacts. He answered questions and was passionate about the information he was giving out. My students thanked me for taking them there and actually spoke about the mistreatment of not only Black people. They talked about the children who were affected by the treatment of Black people. I would go again and again.

My family and I really enjoyed our visit back in June 2018. Our Guide was very informative. We learned a lot from him. Will definitely visit again whenever we're back in Omaha. Highly recommend this place.

GPBHM gave my team at work and I the opportunity to participate in a zoom tour of the museum led by Eric. A really generous offer so that we could learn as a team.
