The only place where everything can be your favorite and you have to decide which one is your “favorite-er”. That’s not a word so, you can tell we loved the place. The atmosphere and service is just what you need to be at home away from home.
The Kalua Kimchi and Puka Punch are a must try!

Joshua and bar staff were an awesome vibe. He connected people at the bar and made excellent recommendations for other food and drink in Omaha. We had so much fun. The drinks were creative and the classics were out of this world. Great job all around.

Let's start by stating the obvious, going to a tiki bar in Omaha is just appropriate. Secondly, this particular tiki bar is like any other tiki bar - just more so. You will want a zombie, obviously; it is fire. The Saturn - yes please. And snakebite or rattlesnake something or another, that too. All excellent choices. And I think the bartenders just like setting things on fire, because as we were leaving there was literally a smoke filled skull that also was set ablaze.

While they don't have a lot of food options, they do have some tiki appropriate options (we did not order anything, because I could not discern if they in fact had food prior to visiting, a choice I now regret).

The bar is in a basement off Howard St in Omaha's Old Market. There is limited signage, but you'll find it. You will descend a set of stairs to the entrance; does not appear to be wheelchair accessible. Needless to say, the dark subterranean surroundings and lack of windows create a uniquely immersive vibe. And there are a lot of little intimate coves throughout the bar. It even has kinda cozy vibes in spots, which is an interesting contrast from the flaming drinks at the bar.

And of course, they have drinks to share, delivered in a variety of awesomely weird vessles.

When in Omaha, summon your inner luau obsessed spirit animal, leave the kids with someone responsible, and go get a tropical drink. At the time of posting, drinks were between $12-16ish on average.

Came in town for a quick weekend get away. We got in late and were starving. Walked by here on our way to another place and decided to go here instead, and boy, am I glad we did! First of all, the concept is awesome, and was executed wonderfully! The decor and atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The staff was attentive and kind. The drink menu is well thought out and everything we tried was delicious. But the food was the main character of this experience. Everything we ate was amazing and we even ordered food to go because we couldn’t get enough. I’m only in town for 48 hours and plan and going a second time. This is a must try!

Stepping into this tiki bar feels like diving into a real-life SpongeBob SquarePants episode! With strong drinks and bustling crowds, it's a lively scene that's straight out of Bikini Bottom. Just remember to arrive early on Fridays and weekends to snag a spot

I have been to a ton of Tiki Bars, but this one might take the cake. Juan the bartender was amazing (as was the other bartender whose name I didn’t catch). Drinks are reasonably priced, atmosphere is off the charts and I will be back every time I visit Omaha. Don’t miss this gem.

What a BLAST! I was transported. This place has an amazing atmosphere that makes you wanna have fun. The drinks are delicious, strong, and goofy. The Zombie is literally on fire! So creative. The bartenders are charismatic and attentive. S/O Brad he was great! This is a bar you need to bring your friends to and just vibe. Definitely a unique experience worth a try.

This place is a total VIBE! Good energy and our bartender, Juan was great, and very nice! Love the atmosphere and they really like to set drinks of fire! 🔥🔥 This place is perfect for content! The drinks were reasonable, I would've expected to pay more based on location, but I appreciate not breaking the bank on a night out. That's thoughtful.

This little tucked away, atmospheric tiki bar was one of the highlights of my trip to Omaha, and is now a "must visit" joint any time I make it back. The atmosphere is top notch, from the presentation of the drinks, the attire of the staff, to the sound, and lighting that fills the space. I had one of the flatbread, and it was delicious. Do yourself a favor, and visit this literally underground taste of the Caribbean the next time you're in the old market.

Laka Lono Rum club is a must when in Omaha. The drinks are flavorful and crafted in such way you will want to keep ordering more and more. Even during rush hour, the customer service is always spot on.

Fun little venue on Farnam. It's a very fun vibe, great decor, great staff, and lots of tropical drink choices. Island away from an island. Gets very busy! There are a couple drinks where they light the rum on fire!

Hands down my favorite bar in Omaha I come every time I visit family. The bar is very picturesque and I haven’t had a cocktail I didn’t like. The bar staff is always amazing. Never had a bad night here, definitely a must try. Also their new menu has so many new delicious options.

The food and drink here are extremely generous! The staff was great to chat with, and super stoked to take home a new tiki 🗿 mug!!

This place is a hidden little treasure!! Such a AMAZING atmosphere with awesome mood lighting, decor music and drinks!! All the cocktails are themed or have fun names! You'll forget your in Nebraska and not some little beach bar!

This place was amazing to visit. I loved literally every single thing about this. I wish there were more tables!! It's busy and full of life. The atmosphere is dark and reminiscent of a bamboo forest camping out on the inside of a volcano. They've got incense burning and great music playing. The bartenders are responsive and knowledgeable. Quick to offer suggestions on what kind of drinks you like. Everything was delicious we tried! We had the Hurricane, Saturn, Voodoo? Who do? You do?, a Mojito and an ACE Pineapple off draft.

Want to feel like a local? Yeah, me-too! Come to this hidden gem. Excellent atmosphere with the friendliest bartender with true tiki knowledge. Did I mention they have over 200 Rums! A true gem! Can’t wait for my next OMA trip to stop by. If you like a Navy Grog you’ll like their midwestern twist of Grog Factory served with a miller high life. Saturn was delicious and refreshing.

I love this tiki bar!! It is hands down one of my fav places in Omaha. The drinks are thoughtfully crafted, the liquor selection is unreal and the staff are very knowledgeable. Kat is great, very good at her craft - trust her if she makes a suggestion, she’s a tiki maven!
Every time I come to Laka Lono I have a great time, I always start with my fav drink, the Saturn, and then try something new - literally nothing disappoints.
It’s fun, it’s cool, and the drinks are tasty. What’s not to love?

This is place has the very best staff and atmosphere! We came here in October of 2022 and had to return when we were back in town to see our favorite people.

Super fun bar and friendly staff. I loved that there were classics and fun new cocktails. The drinks were not super strong which was actually a relief. Tiki drinks tend to knock me on my feet. Next time I'm bringing friends and trying some of the sharable drinks.
