I understand their jobs here are not easy. They deal with some stressful, mind blowing and seriously sad situations. No one wants to take a child from their parents. But also no one wants to see a child neglected or harmed because of a parent’s bad choices. It’s a rock and a hard place and these people CHOOSE to be there for the simple reason of doing what is best for these helpless children. What makes it harder is they have limited resources. The whole situation is sad, and the things they see tend to harden them and their hearts towards people. They see people that harm their own kids, and they deal with it everyday. They get their heart broken over and over again and have to still come back to work every day. Have some compassion for these workers. They’re there for the kids.

The ppl who work there are just as friendly to me as I am to them.

The dhs office is here to do good they genuinely care i would like to believe but the cps workers on other other hand need help. I struggled with opioid addiction, and I have been doing very well the past 3 months, but for some reason im being treated like a bad father and a criminal! I have only have 1 kid and he is 11 months old For the past 3months that cps had been in my life they have ripped everything away and I started outpatient rehab before they even came into my life! I kept our home made sure we didn't fully collapse while my lady is in inpatient rehab with our son. I think that good fathers have been treated wrong and something should be done about the power cps hold. Thank you to the dhs office for helping me though.

The front desk assistant was very nice and friendly. I was in and out in a few minutes. DHS gets a bad rap. If you don't go in with an attitude that's negative you will get great service.
