Worst psychiatrist. After he spent most of the “family” meeting talking about how my child needs to have both of their parents working together — he looked at me before I walked out and said, “think about it”. I asked him what he meant by that he says, “being a mother”. If he would have listened to anything I had tried to tell him he would know that l think all the time about being a mother. He also thanked my child’s father for ALLOWING me to be at the family meeting (we have 50/50 custody- or are SUPPOSED to)…. Unsure of why he thought that was appropriate!! At one point he acted like I was lying and tried to prove me wrong by looking something up. Didn’t work. Also, didn’t bother going through risks of the med my child was put on until I requested him to. Horrible doctor.

At 52 years old, I can honestly not think of a single person that I have a worse opinion of than this sorry excuse for a human being. He shows no compassion, takes no time to actually understand his patients or their situation, and literally works against the patient's best interest. Dr. Ravpati barely acknowledged my existence as he simply gave a rehearsed speech about what he believes is the underlying condition of our child that he's barely spoken a word to. Furthermore it is certainly obvious that he has not prepared his staff for their work with mentally ill children, with a goal of keeping the child in their care by manipulating them and telling them lies, while illegally using their uneducated staff to intimidate the children and their patients with empty threats and accusations in order to continue to keep their beds filled, regardless of how this situation impacts the family or the child.

My daughter has been battling mental health for 4 yrs and has issuesnwith self harm and suicidal thoughts. Ravapoti is uncaring and unsympathetic. He at first called her attention seeking and manipulative. Told her to quit faking it. Then He told me most kids with her diagnosis eventually kill themselves and I should send her away to some long term treatment program. But gave me no options or suggestions on where. I looked some up. There are non any where near home and the ones there are out of state cost thousands of dollars. Like $500k a year. Yeah sure Like a normal working single mom can pay for that. He has also told me to stop bringing her to the hospital. He is refusing to treat her and when she has an episode he sends her home immediately. He is supposed to be the professional here. Yet he has done nothing for my daughter. He needs to retire and be replaced with someone that cares and will listen and work with the kids and families.

Absolutely horrible person. He refuses to help a family members child. When the child is escorted by law enforcement due to being suicidal he tells the ER staff not to admit her and gets upset if they do admit her. He has told us 9 out of 10 people with her condition commits suicide, but says he can't help her. WHAT IS YOUR JOB THEN? We are at a complete loss, we started taking the child to Immanuel and guess what.... they contact Ravipati then discharge her again! Do us all a favor and retire already because you're doing NO GOOD for people.

Horrible doesnt even describe how he treats his patients! My daughter went for help not to be belittled, talked down to, talked at, or have her interests criticized. Thats all this "doctor" did. He made her feel worse! He will tell you something and then not follow through with what he said he would do never again will i take my daughter to him!

I had a loved one under his care a few years back. He failed to look at her chart well enough before her departure while criticizing her eating habits as she fought and persevered to gain 7 pounds during her stay. All the nurses were lovely but he showed no compassion to the adolescents. For all the money going to the service you would expect mediocre psychiatric care. Would highly not recommend even it’s the only bed available.

He met my daughter for less than an hour and diagnosed her with adhd and put her on a Medication that medication made her extremely violent and hostile aggressive i stopped giving it to her i asked for paperwork for fmla to be filled out and he said no because family rarely visited her i was there every single day and I signed in so they should have the record ! My daughter did not like how he talked to her like if she was dumb I feel so bad for the children that have to be attended by this doctor. I dont know if its a cultural thing but we did not have a good experience i only spoke to him once when he gave me the diagnosis and meds amd when he will release her after that it was just contact with his nurse. Its our first and hopefully last experience.
