Quality Inn & Suites Lawrence - University Area

I live out of town and got snowed in at work a few days ago so I decided to stay in a close hotel. When I got there they generously upgraded my room so I didn’t have to go back outside in the cold snowy weather. This truly meant so much after shoveling my car in -10 degree weather and not having a proper bag to carry my things with the impromptu stay. The rooms are slightly dated but honestly way cleaner than most hotel rooms I’ve had. Definitely worth the price/convenience!

Pretty good place for the price. They have a spot out front to walk your dog. There was no poop on the lawn which is saying a lot. Definitely will come back.

Chose this for our honeymoon. they supposedly had hot breakfast which consist of thick juice and nasty eggs! Room keys did not work all the time. Hot tub and pool were closed for maintenance. Booked this many months ahead cause it sounded like the ideal perfect place! Definitely was not!

Fantastic for the cost of the room. At breakfast, this is the first time in years that I've had soft biscuits with my biscuits and gravy. Granted, I don't spend more than $80 on rooms, but this was a nice change for me. The room had a cozy chair with ottoman, I'm addition to the usual desk/chair. The curtains were a single piece, so light didn't creep though the middle. Overall, it's an above-average budget hotel.

Totally Awesome!!! Great room, pool and hot tub! Very friendly and accommodating staff! The breakfast was the best one we have ever had at any hotel, especially the coffee and orange juice!!! We would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a good night's sleep, enjoys swimming and relaxing in a hot tub, and enjoys an incredible breakfast and friendly staff! Definitely 5 stars!!! Close to all shopping and conveniences.

Great location staff is super friendly and washer and dryer is super cheap.the rooms were very clean and great value for the price! Would stay again if I'm ever in the area.

Landed here in a pinch. Was cheaper than most in the city so I was skeptical. It's older building, but our rooms were well kept, clean, comfy bed, and surprisingly better pillows than most at this rate. Fridge in our room, not sure if typical. Didn't turn on tv.

Hotel is being upgraded soon. The staff, beginning with manager Kevin, are terrific. We were not happy with the room initially assigned to us. Kevin immediately switched our room to one which was excellent, without any hassle or fuss. Also we want to thank Bri, check in hostess, and Angela, housekeeping for their great work and great attitudes!

Great family place...fridge and microwave. Breakfast was good with several choices both hot and cold (hours could be a little longer on weekends..pool and hot tub nicely laid out (last 3 places we stayed the hot tub was "under construction")...laundry rm w/supplies(which were more expensive than the w/d). Close (walking distance) to lots of great places to eat. Staff was good too (especially Levi 🙂). The motel style rooms were definitely dog friendly (we changed rooms cuz not fans of dog smells 😐). We would come again.

Great customer service!!! Housekeeping Manager rocks! I stayed here for a week with a dog and she was so great and still took care of our room herself and worked with our schedule. Front desk also great! Bonus is the FREE hot breakfast buffet!! Yes!! Stay here!

We stayed here for our high school's basketball tournament. The staff was great! Blake at the front desk was very accommodating and Donna in housekeeping offered to wash and dry our team's uniforms! We appreciated them going above and beyond what was expected. Thank you!

We pulled into The University Inn at about 3 am, Doug was there to meet us. Without a reservation he said it would be about $100 but after I mentioned an online price of $75 and he considered we were checking in so late, he brought it down substantially, nearly to that online price. He was nice to talk to and helpful.

That being said, the room did smell like black liquorice, and there was a damp washcloth hanging in the shower.

Truely the place can't be beat for that price, other than those two the things, the room was spotless. This is a great place to stay.

The Best Western Lawrence is a great hotel! The rooms are nice and clean! The hotel is very clean. The full continental breakfast was very good! They had a nice fitness room. The staff is SO nice and very accommodating!! It was reasonably priced.
We would definitely stay there again!!

We broke down outside of town, thanks to Covid only 2 of the 5 of us could get home with the tow driver. So the younger two and I hopped a taxi to this hotel. Gentleman told me they were booked. I explained what happened and he did give me a moment, then he found us a room. The room was clean and very comfortable!

Clean room and friendly staff met our needs. The included breakfast was good with a few options to provide some variety. The swimming pool and bath-temperature spa were an excellent bonus and really appreciated by the kids.

Everyone was very friendly and the room was clean. I stayed for 2 nights. I breakfast was very good. I am so used to just having one option for breakfast, but there were multiple. They also are dog friendly (with the pet fee).

Nice affordable place. Front desk was helpful. Pool is super warm and great for kids swimming. Breakfast is quite good for being free - biscuits and gravy, waffles, etc. Overall very pleased.

Great place to stay when you are in town with you family to visit KU. We have stayed there many times the past four years and have generally had a good experience each time. The management has always looked out for us when we needed a little help. Usually priced right... cheap , and the location is great. I suggest staying in the main building if possible. If your looking for a clean, friendly , low cost campus hotel... I recommend!

Very clean, comfortable hotel. Resonably priced. The staff were amazing! They were very helpful and courteous. We had actually looked into staying at the Mariott near by. However, we got a bigger, clean, comfortable room for almost $100 less at this Best Western. We will stay here again if in this area, and will always consider Best Western for our stays elsewhere after this experience!

Our stay was one night as we were attending a basketball game at the University. The room was fine and the staff was accommodating. Typical breakfast served at a hotel was good the staff was polite.
