After the remodel Gene's has stepped up all aspects of a small town grocery store.

Haven't shopped here in a while and I was pleasantly surprised at the sales they were having. Especially the meat department. Amazing prices for such a small town grocery store. Brisket 349 per pound? Wow who does that anymore! He even had a great deal on pork butt. If you haven't shopped here for a while, give it another look. They have up their game!

The local manager Wrigley Heide was more than helpful. He answered several questions and was patient with me while I was looking for what I wanted. He even made several trips to the back when we couldn’t find the items I wanted. He showed that he really cared and was willing to do extra work for me to make sure that I was satisfied.

Usually never super busy, so it's an easy convenient place to get groceries. Never had an issue with anything. Staff is friendly, and usually no wait time for a cash register.

My uncle who has passed built your building 25 years ago so I have been going there for the last 6 months now. I love the atmosphere and the kindness, the prices and the selection. I live in tongie but it is worth the drive. Even seen one of my classmates there!

Pretty good grocery store. You don't have to check your own groceries out either!

This is a fantastic little small town grocery, friendly staff, very helpful, and quite easy to navigate too!! Yeah the prices aren't as cheap as Walmart but it's just as good in my opinion

I love Gene's Heartland Foods and when they Deliver but I just wish you can get Delivery Everyday and Not be Charged $5 for delivery and not to have to wait to order Groceries on Monday and have to wait until Tuesday to get your groceries and I also wish that you would not have to have them call you back in order to add up the total amount But I really Really Really love the Manager and the Employees, they are very Respectful, and understanding, and Compassionate, And I Highly recommend it, Every one else should go to Heartland Foods

Fabulous small town grocery store with the friendliest staff ever. The store stocks a variety of grocery and non-grocery items; far more than I expected from a smaller store. Highly recommend shopping here.
