I saw this record store day special edition of California Sober on the Sisters of Sound social media. Snow kept me from grabbing it myself. But I crossed my fingers and called to see if they shipped. I was in luck! We added the Headlights Rivals CD, and gave them my shipping information over the phone. It was easy to pay and my order arrived in perfect condition with tons of goodies!
Can’t wait to order again!

This place is a really cool retro store... my friend and I just recently played there for her album release party and it was a very cool vibe... definitely give this a check out if ur around town... could find some cool old albums if ya look hard enough...

SoS is so much more than a record store. It's a place where passion for music and vinyl, and friends converge. The owners are truly wonderful people. I cannot express enough what a jewel of Manhattan SoS is.

Great atmosphere along with great and knowledgeable cashier!! I ordered a record, (The Man From Waco:Charley Crockett) and had it shipped home since it wasn't available in store. BEST packaging by far I've had delivered. Bubble wrap, fragile and heat sensitive stickers, bonus 45s inside, sticker, and a handwritten thank you note. Couldn't be happier! Will visit/order again.

Five stars in my book!! Yes sir I was visiting from San Fernando California and happen to go in the store looking for a pacific record and the gentleman there was very helpful and went out of his way to help and order and shipped to California ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and just got my order. Thank you again

Great owners & staff. In-store live music events and DJ's. Good selection of turntables & speakers if you don't already have something to play your new vinyl on. I can't think of anything I've asked for that they didn't have or couldn't get.

I've stopped buying my music online and started buying from them because I want them to be around for years.

This is such a great place if you are looking for any vinyl or CDs to add to your collection. They constantly are getting in new stuff each day and it is so cool to see what new findings come up each time I visit.

Small, slightly hard to find, well stocked record store in the 💜 of MHK. The girls will look for whatever you want if they don’t have it.

This is one of the coolest locations in Manhattan. The store is small but they have put every inch they could toward there stash of absolute bangers. They have bands I never thought they would have. They even have tons of freebies and a section of local artist appreciation. It’s one of my favorite places to go. Also, the lady who owns it is incredibly cool and very fun to talk to!

I love Sisters of Sound!!! I got really sick last year and decided to knock some things off my bucket list just in case. I always wanted a vinyl collection like my dad had so I went in and they got me together!!! I got a great record player and my vinyl collection is giving me my LIFE!! I'm much better now but I stop in weekly just because. Highly recommend going in and falling in love with the place!! It's my favorite addiction!!

Lovely, Local, and Loud! I love this place, it's cozy but has a wide selection of Vinyl, CD, and 8 tracks. Staff is helpful and more than willing to answer questions. Also occasionally has live music outside!

Greatest prices you'll find and enough selection to get lost in. Very helpful staff, we lucky to have this place.

You like music, especially records, SOS is the place to go in Manhattan. So many years the boss has, you just might learn something. Update: they just had some flooding so go down and show some love

One of my favourite small businesses in Manhattan!! The staff are always so friendly and eager to help you find what you want. If they don't have a certain record in stock, they order it for you!

A fantastic gem of a record store. I've visited only the record store available to me in Antioch, Illinois, so yes I'm a midwesterner. Right away, Sarah greeted me at the counter and made my experience a 10/10. I was blown away by the place. The fact that they put record grades on the vinyl was awesome. I can't recommend this spot. It's a neat find.

They are a fantastic local record store with a good selection. If they don't have something on the shelf they will do what they can to get it for you.

This place is quite literally the best record store I’ve ever been to. When I was going to KSU a decade ago, the owners would recommend vinyl to me based off my interests and they nailed it each time, oftentimes being way ahead of the music curve. Their musical knowledge got me into so many bands and genres I never would have without their recommendations. But the chill environment and overall friendliness of this shop is why I’ll keep coming back, long after my time at school.

TL;DR - check this lil shop out. It’s such a Manhattan gem for music heads.
