Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan

I had a emergency surgery at this hospital. My surgeon doctor was very nice doctor. He checked up on me few times in a day. Always answered my questions. My room was pretty good. I was stayed two days, they have a meal menu in the room. We could order whatever we want.( I had to pick diet menus) They always bring the meals to my room. Also, every one so polite and helpful. I wasn't nervous during the days at the hospital. Nurses were very friendly and helpful all the time. I sincerely appreciate them.

The labor and delivery nurses/doctors are absolutely incredible. Everyone is so accommodating and kind and caring. This was my third baby and by far the best care I have ever received. The labor and delivery staff goes above and beyond for their patients and there’s nowhere else I would have rather gone.

I can't say enough nice things about the birthing experience here. The nurses were very, very polite, and helpful. They helped us every step of the way and meet every single one of our needs. The actual birth was done very well and they coached us through every step of the way. We had no idea what to expect and the nurses were very clear. We got an epidural and it went smoothly with no problems. The nurses gave us no grief about getting it right away. They sure made us feel like we were a high priority. We stayed one night and left the next day around 4:30. The nurses helped us through every bit. Whenever we needed help, they were quick to be there. They answered every question, made sure we had every need meet, and gave us all the tips and tools to welcome our new baby. I'm very thankful. The food was excellent.

Staff was a amazing and were very quick to diagnose me. Got my appendix removed with minimal pain after surgery.

On August 14th I came in I didn't think it was anything bad I came in for stomach pains came to find out it was my appendix literally this hospital treated so well! I had surgery last night and came home today doctor Paul's I believe that's how you spell it did a very good job getting that out me literally Iam so thankful!! :you saved my life! Every one here was pretty funny I love the staff thank you for taking care of me last night:)

Our daughter was admitted to the hospital with Kidney stones. We are 8 hours away from Manhattan. Thank you to all of the physicians and nurses for making her feel comfortable and taking care of her until we were able to get to Manhattan. We appreciate your professionalism and taking great care of our daughter.

Long wait initially because ER was packed. No complaints there I expected that much. Just want to say when they got me in they were quick, friendly, and communication was good. There was a TV in my room for entertainment. I was out within a reasonable amount of time.

Well taken care of in the Emergency Room. My nurse, Leslie, was WONDERFUL. The charge nurse was very professional. MD really took the time to listen. Great team!

We have a son with severe autism and is non-verbal. Every experience we have had has been excellent, including visits to the ER, OR, and most recently he was admitted to the surgical unit. The staff has been kind and accommodating, helpful and flexible, and the staff in the CT department allowed us to stay with him during his scan. We are so thankful to have a hospital of this caliber right in our own community. Many thanks to Dr. Doering, and to Dr. Poell, as well as the ER staff that cared for him. We have also had his teeth cleaned in the OR and the staff there was equally kind and understanding of his special needs. Thank you Ascension Via Christi for your hard work in the service of our community.

I had a chemical burn on my eye due to a work related incident. All of the staff were so kind to me and explained everything in great detail and made sure it was documented for my workers comp. I would definitely come again.

My Mom was admitted for a few days. Everyone we interacted with from the ER to the staff at her room were just amazing. We felt as we were staying at a hotel, as we received the best service. The nurses and doctors were great in explaining issues. Plus Mom was able to order from a menu to get what she wanted.

Everything went exactly as it should. My procedure started on time. My physician asked it I had any questions before we started. All of the staff introduced themselves and advised me what their role was as a member of my care team.

I had the BEST experience recently (January 2022) giving birth at Via Cristi. My L&D nurse was FANTASTIC throughout my delivery as well as the nurses who cared for me after birth, the anesthesiologist was great, my ob was off that day so Dr. Gros who filled in was amazing! Our son was born 6 weeks early and every single pediatric nurse and doctor we dealt with were super informative, supportive, kind and helpful. I could not have asked for a better experience. THANK YOU ALL!

I had a the best experience at this hospital. The nurses that worked on December 23 and 24th were the best! Especially Kirsten! I was very sad and she didn’t just be my nurse but I felt like she was my friend. Thank you so much!

My granddaughter recently had an appendectomy at your facility. I am an RN at another hospital, and her legal guardian, so I was with her the entire time. I was very impressed with the care she received by everyone involved, the surgeon, Dr. Doering , was amazing, but every nurse, the anesthetist, the nurse aides, and even the registration staff were very good. She had a traveling nurse named Karen who went above and beyond. I would return to your hospital for care any time if I could not receive the services my family needed at the smaller hospital where I work. I have been to several other hospitals the last few years, but have not received the same level of care.thank you!

Wife just gave birth at the hospital and we ended up staying a few days. Although this is my first child, this has got to be the best hospital out there. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, students, room service, to hospice clean up was excellent. I don't think there was anything I could ever complain about. The care that my wife received from the beginning to the end was phenomenal and everyone their was an expert of their field. I want to thank everyone at the hospital for helping myself and my Wifes first steps into parenthood an amazing experience and highly recommend this to expecting parents.

We delivered our first baby here and had a wonderful experience! My primary delivery nurse was excellent; I wish I could have her on call for my next delivery. They respected my birth plan and behaved professionally. We did not have any problems with our billing. I have nothing but good memories from our stay.

Clearly some people need to do some research into birthing options before they decide to deliver at a HOSPITAL. I just had my second child at Via Christi, and cannot praise the staff enough. The atmosphere was so relaxed, but not unprofessional, which is a hard line to walk. Everyone I came into contact with was very respectful of my wishes, and carried each one out flawlessly. Right after my daughter was born, they were in no rush to take her to get her weight, give her a bath, etc, and didn't interfere at all as we snuggled our new little one (which I wouldn't have expected at a hospital, honestly). The nurses and help were so prompt in every respect, and really LISTENED to me. A special shout out to Erin, Lindsey, and Beth!! You ladies are incredible and I cannot think of any way mine and my daughter's care could've been any better! You went above and beyond!

Update: I just had my 4th child here, and once again, I loved the staff and care they provided!
