The dog park is one of my favorite amenities, but I have come here since I was a child, and it's still just as wonderful. Occasionally, there will be dogs at the park who are aggressive or sant to start things. Sometimes, the owners notice that sometimes they don't. It has detered me from going, but there are back places in the park to go to get away from anyone else. I love this park and all of its beauty!

Nice adventurous park with many different trails, biking areas, playgrounds, fishing prier, and a shelter for a grill with the family. We did the lake loop trail it was marked very well based on the map displayed in the parking area. I love the kiddos' trails is paved and visible. I really enjoyed this trail. I definitely think you should wear a hat and lots of bug spray. The trail is leveled right beneath the trees. Those also have a restroom and area to fix minor repairs for your bike.

I grew up in Gaston County and wish this park was around when I was growing up. Gaston County has an amazing natural history and it is on full display here in the park. The trails are beautiful, extensive and well-marked. The natural flora is so incredibly special and it is beautifully preserved here.

I travel a lot for work. My usual routine--when in a city that I don't know--is to find some good walking trails and/or a park to spend the evenings (it's either this, or rot in the hotel room). Anyway, this park is nice to walk around. Also, there seems to be a good spot for fishing...

What a great place to visit! The pump track is somewhat challenging but so much fun. Inexperienced riders need to wear PPEs to prevent skinned body parts. There are several trails of differing difficulties, covered picnic areas and even a pier for fishing. I want to go back and check out the mountain bike course. The play ground could use a little more options, but the kids enjoyed it for a while. Definitely hope to return!

The dog park was nice and clean, also very spacious. Our dogs enjoyed running off leash, checking out the large perimeter and interacting with all the other dogs. There were two dog parks, one for medium/large dogs like mine, and one for smaller breeds. We had a great day at George Poston Park!

It’s very nice dog park located next to soccer and baseball fields. There’s also a lake in the area. There’s a lot of running space trees and grass for the dogs to roam.

George Poston Park is a great place for you to go hangout with family and friends. There are multiple soccer and baseball fields, and there are numerous hikes you can go on as well. The park features a lake with multiple trails around it. There is also a skate park, beach volleyball court, and bike trails.

On this particular visit, we went to the pump track. I had so much fun. It's a well designed track that anyone with a bike, skates, a skateboard, or scooter will enjoy. We enjoyed the company of kids aged 5-51 and all of us had a great time cheering each other on and learning new tricks. You'll definitely be worn out after an hour but it's so worth it

Awesome mtb trails and great facilities. The trails are more in the intermediate skill level but if you are a beginner with a few rides under your belt and working in your stamina then this trail will tell you where you stand.
The trail has lots of roots and rock gardens with challenging short punchy climbs and fun descents. All the different trails are interconnected and the map at the trail head will tell you the name and mark color so you just have to follow the markings. It is well marked and signage is good at all intersecting points.
If you like night riding this trail offers that too and I think they close at 8pm which is plenty of time to get a night ride in, especially with the time change. Another good point of this trail is the fact that they don't lose when it rains so it makes it more popular with the mtb crowd. The trail coordinator and the volunteers do a great job managing this place.

I spend a lot of time in New York so I was wowed by the cleanliness of the park. The cleanliness of the bathroom and the thought for detail like they had a bike station so you could pump up a tire or fix it with the tools that were tethered to a stand. Overall it was a nice experience.

Huge dog park with separate sections for small and large dogs. Places for humans to sit, either in the sunshine or shade. Fresh running water for the dogs. Very clean except for the occasional irresponsible human who doesn't clean up after their dog, usually in the grassy area. Watch out. Very safe area for dogs and humans. Lock your car for safety.

Mountain bike trails, fishing lake, bike pump park, ball fields, soccer fields, 2 playgrounds, 2 covered picnic shelters, outdoor volleyball court, horseshoe area, batting cage, and dog park. Including nice, clean restrooms located throughout the park. Very nice park!
