I was looking for a transmission spot in town that I felt safe having my car transmission diagnosed. I visited 3 different shop’s that quoted me prices before even driving the car.
I took my car to robs and he diagnosed and road tested my car for free. When the time came to take apart my transmission he showed me exactly where the problem was.
I had let him know prior to getting it fixed that I had a cross country trip coming up and I need the car done within 3 weeks. Considering the task at hand I was not expecting the car to be done in time. I got a call from the shop 3 days early exceeding my expectations. After about 1 week and over 1,500miles my transmission is still shifting clean.
This is probably one of the most positive experiences Ive ever had with a mechanics shop.
Overall five stars for integrity, timeliness, and cost.

This review is long overdue...I have had 2 transmissions rebuilt by Rob and both have been top notch. One in an 1987 lifted Chevy pickup and the other in a 2007 Gmc Yukon. He is very knowledgeable and is very straight forward with the game plan he has for repairing or rebuilding your transmission. A lot of places will sell you something off the shelf; at Rob's they remove your transmission and rebuild it themselves and put it right back in your vehicle. Couldn't ask for anything more. Friendly staff, straight forward pricing and timely turnaround. I would highly recommend Rob's to anyone.

Thank you Mr.Rob for everything you do for my Lexus, my transmission gone and you quoted me for $5000 to fix, that's too much for me and you don't have any payments plans, BUT you are very honestly and professional, you tell me what you gonna do and give me the most reasonable recommendations. You're the best! and I very appreciate about your job to found out what my car problems with NO CHARGE, I hope in future, when i'm really rich, I will bring my car here when my transmission gone.

Took my V10 Ford pickup in assuming the locking and unlocking of the torque converter was in fact a transmission issue. Figured on a rebuild. After evaluating the issues, he determined that the real problem was a misfire in the engine that for some reason didn't trip the check engine light. Turned out that motor had a dead cylinder. They could've done the rebuild and charged me for it, but instead did the right thing and didn't charge me at all. You can bet that if or when I do have a transmission problem it'll come here to get fixed.

Don't recommend this place. I called several places to replace my transmission and they quoted me at the cheapest, which was $2,500. It ended up costing me $4,000, which isn't bad, except I could have paid the 4k and got my car back within a month if I had taken it to Midas. Instead, it took these guys about 2 months before they even looked at my car, and then they kept telling me a different excuse every week to 2 weeks to where I did not get my car back for a total of 4 months. They did a decent job on it, I just did not appreciate the dishonesty and the excuses. Yes, they are severely understaffed, but they shouldn't tell people one thing and then do another.

Dont come here. They told you one price, but when you pick up the car, the whole price different. He told me , my transmission and radiator replace and rebuild cost 2800 cash that include every thing. During the process i pick a better radiator, he told me cost $100 more, so after 3 full month i came by pick up the car, he told me total $3975.00. I was piss. Talk to the boss, he yelling and meaning, and told me what ever the price he toldme in yje first time, forget it. What a business. More like a scam. Everthing on conversation i have it recorded

Trying to get the leak fixed in the transmission for 3 months. Russ just keeps putting it off. Would not set a date to fix it. Russ does not seem to be able to say he does not want to work on the car. SAD!!!
