Clean place well maintained by Fon du Lac Park District garbage can is always empty. Has metal picnic table with holes in table n bench so no water puddles

Very nice walk path by the woods and a stream. Love that there are benches to stop and rest or to just look and watch nature.

Bike trail is great

I was riding the EP-Morton bike trail a few times recently and noticed that off to the side there was a newly constructed area. After forgetting about it being there a few times, I finally remembered to check it out.

From the trail, it looked like a parking lot with an area to sit in some shade. Upon whipping around and checking it out, it turns out to be just that. There is a sign that says it’s a park, but a park is a generous name. It’s more of a parking lot than anything.

Now, I don’t know who Martha Cunningham is, so I don’t want to be disrespectful or judge the place too harshly. It does serve as a good spot to park your car and hop on the bike trail (Left from the park takes you to Morton. Right keeps you in East Peoria). I think that is it’s main purpose. An easy ingress on to the trail. Its also located right next to Mel’s Cafe, so you could stop there for a carb-heavy meal before hitting the trail for a few miles.

The address I have listed below is for Mel’s Cafe. The park and the cafe are right next to each other, so this address will get you there. If you are looking at the front of the cafe, the park is directly behind the building, maybe about 200 feet. The bike trail is across the bridge.
