Eggcellent Cafe

It was my daughter and I first time eating here and we were not disappointed! It was pretty busy but we were able to get a table within about 5 minutes. The wait staff was prompt and very friendly. I ordered the on the border skillet with pancakes and my daughter ordered the sweet berry crepes with a side order of corn beef hash. Everything was very good! Super full of flavor and it all came out very quickly! Overall great experience and can’t wait to come back!!

Great breakfast or brunch spot. We arrived with a group of 7 and had a short wait to be seated. Service was excellent, food came out quickly, and everything for our group was delicious. Chicken and waffles and Irish Benedict were particularly good. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area, but keep an eye on timing to make sure it’s not a busy time - they have plenty of seating, but it can fill up quickly.

The food was delicious and the service was great! My sister had breakfast and it was more than she could eat and she said it tasted really good.
I had lunch and it was one of the best chicken wraps I have ever had. The french fries were delicious too. We will definitely go back..... maybe tomorrow!

Oh. My. Goodness!!! This place is unbelievable!!! Small strip mall location, easy to get to, gorgeous on the inside and great atmosphere! Menu choices were so very unique, unlike anything I've seen before. I ordered the Tiramisu pancakes and sausage patties, hubby got the hash stack, and our taste buds were tantalized!! I cannot even describe how dreamy those pancakes were!! Wow!! Our server Crystal was absolutely wonderful! Food came fast and hot. It was brunch, so we sadly didn't have coffee, but I'm betting it would taste great, too. Loved every minute of it, even though it's a good 50 minute drive from our house and we don't go towards Peoria often, we will be back again!! Thank you for a great dining experience!

Let me just say this place lives up to the name EGGCELLENT!! Our server was great! She was able to answer any questions we had about the menu and gave fantastic suggestions. I don't even know where to begin when describing the quality and taste of the food. The veggie omelet and caramelized apple pancakes were to die for. However, their biscuits and gravy were phenomenal!!! The decor and seating is crisp, clean and cozy. I can't wait to return to try the lunch menu 😀 Definitely my new favorite spot this area!!!!!!!!

Had the waffle and chicken. Chicken made in house with 3 nice size strips along with a big waffle. My wife had the eggs benedict. She rated as one of the best ever.
Very busy diner but worth the wait.

Food was incredibly good. Many breakfast classics as well as some creative twists and unique items. Very clean, nice atmosphere. I really appreciate the variety that is well thought out, not just a bunch of similar items to make the menu look big. Very impressed, will be returning plenty of times!

Friendly and welcome month atmosphere. Hot and fresh food. Waitress was great, very attentive. We never waited for refills and her suggestions were very helpful when trying to choose between two dishes. Checkout process was easy.

My wife and I went here for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning. There was a wait, but it was worth it. The cluck cluck skillet was really good. The staff here were knowledgeable and courteous. They made sure our coffees were full and that we left happy.

We had a very pleasant breakfast here. I enjoyed the Irish Benedict, and the seasoned potatoes were crispy, seasoned well, and not greasy at all. My wife had a variation of the biscuits and gravy, and it also tasted great. Our server was attentive, everything was prepared well, and I really liked the house hot sauce.

Came here after our company Christmas party for breakfast. Enjoyed what we ordered. The cinnamon bread French Toast was very good. Bought breakfast for a couple sitting next to us. Will come back when in the area

In my opinion, Eggcellent Cafe is one of the best breakfast/brunch places in the East Peoria/Peoria area. It is hard to pick just one favorite item from the menu. They offer gluten free options, and they also sell bottles of their signature house hot sauce, which pairs great with any egg dish. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this establishment.

Pictures; fresh squeezed orange juice, avocado toast, carnivore skillet, classic eggs Benedict, and biscuits and gravy. All of it very good. Great atmosphere. Good service. Would totally recommend

We have come here quite a few times over the last 2 years, and it has NEVER let us down. Absolutely excellent service, food, atmosphere, and drinks, and there are always new things to try! Love love love this place!

We live in Ohio but every time we visit family in Metamora, we come here for breakfast. The food is always excellent and the service is always fast. Definitely wish there was one closer to us

I go almost every weekend. Everything I’ve tried is always very good. Staff is super friendly and never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table!

I've been here many times. Again I ordered my favorite the On the Border Omelette, and as usual it's no surprise that it is amazing as always. Thanks Eggcellent Cafe for being simply Eggcellent!!! A+++

Food was great! Service was very quick and efficient and didn’t have to wait for a table long. Food a little pricey but was delicious.
