A great playground in Columbia Mo! Lots of equipment to play on, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball and softball too.

We love this park so much. Driving east from Denver, it is perfectly timed for us for a play break. Playground has several distinct areas that all have unique features, keeping our kiddo entertained for hours (though we usually can't stay as long as she'd like). The giant slide is super cool and only slightly terrifying for adults. Kids seem to love it.

Amazing! There's a hill to climb and the steps are large tires from earth moving equipment. The dinosaur theme is cool without being overbearing. The usual playground equipment and lots of room for running around. Several picnic shelters and BBQ grills. Very well maintained. The park is in the sports complex which features baseball diamonds and other playing fields.

Such a great park! Had so much fun with the kids. Digging for dinosaur bones was the best!

I went to the family festival held in the park yesterday. It was very impressive that many family members attended even though it was time to get off work. I had a great time playing in the playground, playing Jenga, and throwing disks with my son. Thank you Columbia City for the fun event.

I'd say this is the best park in town. Lots of different play structures with slides, swings, jungle gyms, sand box and so on. It's the best park to make friends for toddlers too! Suitable for all ages from infant to school age children. I love the swing that my toddler and me can get on together face to face. It has lots of shade around the play ground. Really fun place!

This park is incredible! I think I love it almost as much as my kids do!! Their playgrounds are epic, their sports fields are endless, there’s a nice path through the park, and some trails that start at the parks edge.

It’s Columbia’s favorite park… and for good reasons!
The playgrounds are very popular. The play structures are new (or newish), well maintained, and interesting. There is so much space to play or run wild on the playground. Honestly, it’s TOO big for me to take more than 5 kids, or I have to make a rule about where they can play in relation to where I am. It’s big enough for 75 or more kids to play… and elementary schools bring a whole grade level here for class picnics.
There are areas in the playground that are fine for wet days (no mulch, no puddles,
No mud). There are some natural features to climb on (rock ledges/walls, easy to climb trees). There is a sand pit area which is not in a place of prominence, if the adult supervisor isn’t interested in Sandy shoes or car seat!
The playground isn’t super close to the bathrooms, which are open just spring until mid Oct, but an easy walking distance.
There are two large picnic shelters near the playground, but not within exact eyeline of the equipment - meaning parents can’t see the kids on the much of the playground, if at all, as they sit at the picnic tables.
The playground is a safe distance from
The parking lot, so it is less likely for a kid to accidentally dart into traffic.
There are large trees along playground perimeter.
There are a few swings, many giant tires, and several jungle gym/hubs for playing. There is an area with enormous slides that are fun for all ages. There are wide spaces for tag/running wild. There’s an overload/boardwalk to see most of the playground at once. There’s some wheelchair accessible equipment and landscape features.

There is a new preschool age playground near the main playground. It is a safe distance from parking spaces and is large enough to be fun, but small enough to be able to keep track of many kids at once. My preschooler really enjoys this space.

There is a fitness trail/track around
The park. The trail is well maintained (asphalt?) and is well suited to bikes, rollerblades, scooters, jogging, etc. it is wide enough for 3 people to easily walk side by side.

There are numerous sports fields with adjacent parking. Parking is fair - free, typically close by.

There’s a skateboard park, paved roller rink, and pavilion near the back of the park, but there’s only a portable toilet there.

This is a well used park, but it seems like
There’s always an area that is completely uncrowded.

This is a beautifully kept, really large/roomy public access open park. There's many soccer fields, golf course, walking trail, picnic tables, etc....I have found it a "touch" crowded once on a Saturday afternoon when there was obviously a soccer tournament going on, so, go figure. This is rarely a problem. The bathrooms I used in the park were clean & had supplies ( big, pleasant surprise) It's easy to get to, & in an area most usually considered low traffic. This seems like a very nice place to relax and recreate with friends & family or to exercise/enjoy nature in solitude. Thank you Columbia Parks & Rec. for keeping it up so nicely.

Big complex with every type of sports field/court you need to have fun, lots of picnic areas, strategically placed restrooms & garbage barrels. Not that restrooms seem to be closed for the winter months.

Awesome park for all ages (2-12). Each section is specific to an age group. We had a lot of fun here.

In the running for coolest playground ever.... Part of a large city park that includes fields and pavilions.

Loved the dinosaur sandpit as well as the different slides for all ages. Observation bridge was unique.

I don't know much about Columbia, MO but I'll be sure to revisit this park in the future!

Great leash-free area for the pups, lots of trails thru the woods. Also, this time of year the woods are covered with native Missouri Spring wildflowers.

This park is amazing! So many playground areas for kids to play on (so they never get bored), so many unique aspects to the park that I love and so do they! For example, the mom and baby swing combo, the multi person swing, the four person teeter totter, the dinosaur dig area, the concrete underpass, the wooden bridge, and I could continue. My nieces and nephews all ask for this park every time and my daughter is starting to love it as well (we just moved to missouri). Definitely recommend.
