Best Western On The River

Stayed here while in Hannibal to visit the Mark Twain museum. Location couldn't be more convenient. A very short walk to downtown and to the light house. Nice room, very clean. Staff was very friendly and provided an abundance of information on Hannibal, the museum, and other sites to see. Breakfast was provided, and it was very good. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend staying here if you're in Hannibal and want to be close to the sites

Very quiet room which we needed after getting stuck in traffic in Saint Louis MO for much longer than we expected. The manager did switch us to a better room as the one we reserved was by the exterior entrance. Very grateful for the thought fullness! The view of the MS was nice from our window. Will stay again.

This hotel is central located to downtown. It's just a 2 block walk to all the shops and restaurants.the beds are very comfy and the pool and hot tub are very nice. The breakfast is decent as well.

I'm 43 and grew up in the area but live over in St. Joseph, MO now. For the past 4 years my son and I have enjoyed weekend trips over to Hannibal sometimes and always stay at the Best Western. All the Ladies that work there are so nice and super friendly and they all know me and my 8 year old son. They know I'm not rich just a forklift driver but we love staying there and when I call they recognize my voice and do their best to get me a discount and plus I'm a Best Western member we always try to stay at one in whatever state we are in. The man they have working the front desk now is mad all the time, he answers the phone always sounding stressed out. Tonight he quoted me a price I thought was too high, I said well I don't want to pay that much I guess we will drive 4 hours back home. My son was playing the quarter game in the lobby, he said dad I've won a few quarters and somethings blocking it and they won't drop out. I told the man my son won a few quarters and they didn't come out, he said loudly okay!!!! I'll have someone look at it and my 8 year old son said dad but what about my quarters then I said loudly I'm sorry son you got ripped off and they won't give you the quarters, he heard that and looked concerned but didn't even try to give my son 50 cents and it upset my son alot when we got out to the car because the machine wouldn't give him the money he won and the man wouldn't help us. If a nice cheerful woman is not back at the front desk we won't be back!!!!

10/23/23 We just stayed over the weekend and it was another great experience. Pool was warm, breakfast offered a nice selection, bed was comfy and the overall stay was wonderful. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll return next year!

2022 Our first time staying here and we'll be back. Mary checked us in and was very friendly. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The pool was nice and warm and good breakfast choices, too. It was a short walk to the festival which we enjoyed.

We had a great experience here! I didn't catch the name of the woman working the front desk circa 8PM, but she was absolutely wonderful. Our room was lovely and the bed quite comfy. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. I'd definitely stay here again!

Great location, directly in the middle of town, and easy to walk to all attractions.

Rooms are clean, and I would probably would have rated it higher if I hadn't spent most of my time walking around town

By far, the greatest part about this hotel was the service, especially Mary, who works behind the front counter. Great attitude, very friendly, and overall a fun person to talk to. She went far and above during my stay, even helping me when I ended up locking myself out of my room late at night.

I hope the managers of this hotel are reading this because I can't stress how thankful I am for Mary's service.

Great location for getting around Hannibal. Parking is tight and you may have to go to their lot next door. Pool and hot tub were clean and warm.
Sound from pool travels up the open atrium, but they shut down promptly at 1000.

Great location in downtown Hannibal. Across the street from the Mark Twain boyhood home. Close to many attractions. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast.

This is my go to hotel to stay when in Hannibal. Very clean, staff is friendly and they great choices for their breakfast. Location is downtown, walking distance to local shops and things about Mark Twain. Enjoy your visit to Hannibal, Mo.

Loved that the sites and shops are within walking distance from this hotel. I think it's the only one in town where you can walk to sites. Front desk was super friendly. Refrigerator in room. Room was clean. Snacks and drinks available next to front desk. Could see activity on the river over the rooftops in town. Pool and Hot Tub looked so inviting. Very kid friendly. Solid choice. Pillows had a weird shape, but still slept great ! Parking lot is a little tight. I'm from Illinois near St Louis. The atmosphere in this town is so calm and easy going. This is my first time in Hannibal and the whole town seems so friendly and courteous ! Nice Place to visit ! Favorite local shop was called the Chocolaterie Stam. Never had Gelato before, but loved it. Also enjoyed a relaxing air conditioned cruise on the Mark Twain River Boat.

This is our go to place when visiting Hannibal. Staff is so friendly. Pool area and room are so clean.

Amazing and friendly staff. Beds were not the best. Felt hard and not really comfortable.

Have stayed there twice when we were paying through. Great parking for motorcycles. Staff was very nice, breakfast was good, but never had the opportunity to use the pool.

Beautiful, clean room had a great view overlooking the riverfront area and a comfortable mattress, as well as lovely decor. Had a nice hot shower with good water pressure. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and hot waffles, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs. All in all, a wonderful stay, would 100% recommend.

It was a wonderful experience for a very reasonable rate. We arrived with no reservation, and Mary was able to get all of us set up in a great room with no troubles. The views of the river and downtown Hannibal will stay with us forever. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

I stay at this Best Western every time I'm in Hannibal. It's not fancy, but the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the location is great, just off the Mississippi River (I could see it from my room). Also, the rooms are entered from the atrium so it feels more safe.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is not new, but it is clean. Breakfast was great and the staff did not push people out by shutting down while guests were still there. The pool has strict set hours in order to control the noise level, but all the rooms are built around it and I loved being able to look down from 3rd floor and keep an eye on everyone. We’d stay here again if we were to ever come back to town.

Place is clean and staff is friendly. Pool was great and hot tub hot witch I like.
Breakfast was very good hot food or cold.
I have read that people don't like the smell of the chlorine from pool but to me it was not bad at all. Pool was clean and so was hot tub only thing I think is the drains in hot tub needs to be marked better they stick up and two ladies tripped in hot tub they were fine.
Room was room 320 clean and bed very comfortable. One thing that is out of BW control was the trains at night the blowing of the horn woke me up.
It is walking distance of the down town shopping and the Mark twain River boat witch I recommend. Parking was good multiple places to park.
We would recommend them and plants be back.

We got there on a Friday night. The night desk clerk was friendly and helpful, and quick with some laughs.

The room was clean and easy to find. My only complaint for the room was that the water reservoir cover on the iron was broken off, so water splashed out on the shirt I was ironing.

The location is quite nice. Easy to get to most parts of town I needed to get to, and the downtown is beautiful.
