Perfect lunch! Was looking for a half way point to meet my bestie for lunch and settled on L Gourmet. So glad I picked it. I had the split pea soup and she had the potato leek soup, nice sized bowls, both delicious and made on premises. I had the turkey ham and swiss panini and she had the grilled vegetable panini, both fresh and yummy. Prices were affordable, everything was clean and the employees were very polite and cheerful. Definitely going again.

This place is absolutely terrific. Food is fresh and soups are home made. Their seeded semolina Italian Bread is from Staten Island and is so fresh and airy. Makes their sandwiches unreal!!! Also I keep reading these reviews about the owner being unfriendly. This is sooooooo far from the truth. I struck up a nice talk with her today and we spoke for over 20 minutes, being I’m also a local business owner. She couldn’t be nicer. Give this pour woman a break people. If they are busy, sometimes people have a serious look and are focused on serving the customers. They can’t always smile. Get a grip. I just found this place a few weeks ago and I can tell you! Below was an awesome chicken barley!!

This was a surprise and a pleasant one at that. The exterior doesn't stand out and were it not for my local friend I may not have discovered it. It was close to lunch time, but wanted breakfast until I saw they had cream of mushroom soup. I did still order the 2 eggs on a roll with pork roll and cheese. The soup was among the best I have ever had. No question. The sandwich was on a roll that I couldn't identify. It was slightly yellow like semolina bread or maybe an egg twist. It was good, but expected a hard roll. My friend had a more Italian themed sandwich that came with a side of pasta salad. She seemed to enjoy both. While empty when we got there, it wasn't for long. There is addition seating down the hallway and that room is very bright. We sat in the quaint and comfy front dining area. They do not have table service, but they will bring the food to your table. I expect to see this place again on subsequent visits and would recommend them to anyone.

Updated January 31, 2023 still a solid restaurant for lunch. Over the last year we have eaten here easily over 20x for lunch and never a bad meal. Soups still very good, subs awesome and my new favorite is their streak sandwich- look out! It's very good.

Feb 17 2022. Go to local lunch spot of late. Good soups and their salami, ham and provolone sandwich is very good.

Good grilled panini with vegetables, mozzarella and pesto.

Food was good. The #10 was an excellent sandwich. Fast service and nice local business.

Wonderful place. I pick up lunch for family often. The French dip with a side of horseradish sauce and au jus is a favorite along with #9, a ham and Brie sandwich. Never complaints on any food really. I highly recommend. Great folks, nice cozy place. Try it out!

We have been living down in Bayville for over 6 months and have been meaning to stop in to try this place! Very cute from the outside so figured it must been cute on the inside! Wasn’t disappointed. It’s a refreshing, cozy family feeling. Everything was homemade and everything was delicious. Was a nice gourmet twist to the usual breakfast foods and diners in the area. We both chose from the breakfast menu but I can’t wait to try something of their lunch menu!!!

Grabbed a quick lunch in this hidden gem of a place. They certainly care about quality food, exceptional taste, and top notch customer service. If your a local you know about it and if your passing through stop in and give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

We went here for a surprise birthday party being given for our friend and the food and service were phenomenal. Probably one of the best Western omelettes I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. Looking forward to returning and trying one of their numerous yummy sounding lunch offerings. This place is a real Beachwood treasure.

I was recommended to L Gourmet by a friend . Spoke with owner about what I needed , she was very nice and listened to what I wanted . The food was excellent and it was plenty for the amount of people I was feeding . Her chicken franchise, the best I’ve had and lasagna was perfect ! Would highly recommend . Thanks will definitely be coming back .

Just a little phenomenal eatery. Always fresh, always something new to try, no good excuse not to stop in or takeout. I'm so glad I can walk there. Awesome and friendly staff, and owners.

Food slaps harder than your abusive husband. No waiters though. Really good take out option

Today was the first time I've been in that building since Mr. Sorrento ran his superb Sorrento Subs business and it was a fine lunch that we had. They do a few things unusual in there that are really pleasing. My lunch companion is who recommended the place and for many years I've done well to take his advice. It's a real oasis to have a nice lunch with a friend.

We ordered takeout for breakfast, everything was very well cooked and everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Definitely will go again, might even be our new Sunday breakfast spot.

Great local Beachwood breakfast and lunch spot. Everything I've tried so far has been fantastic and the staff is always very friendly. If you're in the area don't miss out!
