Jakes Branch County Park

We had the best time on the discovery trail with two 2.5 year olds, an aging dog, and 4 happy adults on a beautiful Match morning. Highly recommend.

Nice County park, great for kids! The 'Discovery Play Trail' is perfect for families: a short trail with themed spots along the way for kids to learn & play. Playground is overall nice with a bigger area for older kids and smaller area for little ones. A few maintenance fixes needed on the playgrounds. Clean bathrooms. Fun interactive nature center and observation deck.

Soft sandy trail surrounded by pines and ferns. Low hum from the parkway did drown out the chirps from the chickadees and goldfinches when near, but the trail does go deep enough to get away from the vehicle noise.

Beautiful area. Peaceful. Tranquil. Bring those walking shoes!

Amazing trails that are well maintained. Great ball fields and landscaping. Plenty of stuff to do here.

Great place for a day with kids. Clean, lots of playgrounds and large picnic area. The visitor center is great too. Beware of ticks and Jersey devils in the woods!

Great park for small children with two playgrounds, kid-friendly trails, and interactive nature center. The kids loved being in nature and could have stayed for hours!

We did the yellow trail. Took us just over an hour, very well marked, loose sandy trail in spots, very secluded and quiet, supposed to be multi use trail maybe if you have a mountain bike. Will do again. Recommend.

Taking a short break in the shade. The parks pretty awesome. Something for everyone. Nature trails, gigantic playground, soccer/baseball fields. Plus there's the Nature Center with all kinds of history of New Jersey forest fires and Double Trouble. Still have a lot to explore!

We came from Galloway to visit today with the kids. Easy ride. Easy to find. Easy to get back on parkway. Lots to do. Even went up in lookout and saw some of the nature center. We cant wait to go back and figure out some trails!!!! Why aren't you there????!!!!! Go!!

Awesome Fall Camp Fire was a blast.

My son went on a class trip. He absolutely enjoyed every minute. The nature's center was perfect for a young boy.

Great park to spend an afternoon with many trail options to choose from. Extremely kid friendly with multiple play areas and an interactive walking path for them. The park is also dog friendly.

Relaxing place

First time stopped by here and and was amazed from this place. The trails are beautiful and they got amazing playgrounds for kids.

The trails here are perfect for riding your bike, trail running and dog walking. The large loop is usually secluded, which is perfect for my fur baby and her friends. There is also a small trail loop for the kids with play areas at perfect intervals along the way. It's a great way to introduce young ones to nature walks and hiking without them getting bored or overtired. The main playground has two areas for older and younger children, and there are also soccer fields, baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts. I love to bring children to the Nature Center too, there is so much to explore and they always love it!

Love this park! Its great place to bring kids for a walk. There is a trail for them with some informational play areas along the way too. Everyone can get some exercise and learn a little too! There are bike trails, picnic areas, a playground and many other things that Im sure you can find on website. So I would definitely recommend checking it out if your into parks!

Very interesting and informative. Staff during normal hours. Awesome history about that huge forest fire in the 80s Also a 4 or 5 story balcony with 360 view of pinewald ...take the family basket ball huge fields and allot of different trails hiking with different bird species pictures with info to go along! Great for picnics !

A really peaceful place to go and walk, and the trails are kept up reasonably well. Bring bug spray if you do venture out because they are hungry! You may even catch a glimpse of a deer bounding through the woods, or hear the scuttle of a groundhog or three.

Incredible! Clean ,spacious ,fun, not crowded! Thr jungle gym is huge- one for toddlers another for ages 5-12 . Way more to do than castle park.
