The Sawmill

The wait is about half an hour when we went last weekend. Customer service is excellent! I’ve never seen a humongous pizza before and I was in awe when our order of half buffalo and half veggie was served. One slice is too big but the crust is thin, so it evens out. It was delicious! The ambience is so relaxing. It was definitely worth a try and we’ll be back.

Food and service are always fantastic. We're usually at the bar and see how busy it can get. Full respect to the bartenders.... Courtney, Jennifer, Anthony, Rich, Patrick, Avery....I don't know how you do it.

Delicious food and a classic of the Seaside boardwalk. The Sawmill is an absolute must if you come to the Seaside Heights/Park Boardwalk.

The pizza is great but if you want a lesser know treat, get the garlic knots (see photo) they are fluffy and delicious. Best garlic knots I've ever eaten bar none.

Only two downsides to know about, if dining in, when it gets busy inside gets loud so talking can be a pain. Second, if you want to eat outside at their nice tables, you have to basically do takeout from the Sawmill. But these are two entirely small gripes for a great place. I hope to go again next year!

Went there yo get a quick lunch and was a little concerned about the price for one slice... but man was I wrong! Well worth the money cause the slices were freaking huge and not only that, they were delicious! Not to mention one slice made me feel full for 7 plus hours. I'm definitely going to go back hands down amazing pizza 10/10! 🍕 2 slices was around 15$

Great food and prices, service can sometimes be slow even when it's not super crazy but it is worth it and the servers are nice. This is the only place I'll grab pizza on the boardwalk, I've loved it since I was a kid and I take my son now. The garlic knots are sooo good also. As are the sandwiches.

Did NOT disappoint
We were traveling from Nh and were told we had to check out this establishment. Atmosphere was inviting the staff was extremely friendly the the queso and chips were hands down the best I have ever had And the pizza was enough to feed a small family! Price was inexpensive for the quantity and quality. Will definitely visit again

Great place for everyone! Update 5/2023 .. We wanted to sit by the window and were told we couldn't because "those tables were for parties of 10". After being seated, right across from us, at the window was a table for 6. We were there was hardly anyone in the very large dining room. There was no reason to be denied one of the many empty window tables. The pizza was soggy and not as tasty as I remembered. The nachos had hardly any cheese on them. The portion was large but comes with a tiny cup of sour cream and salsa on the side. We were brought another set after asking for it.

The biggest best NJ pizza you will ever eat. Their pizza is iconic. A slice is the size of a newborn baby. I'm from NJ and this is my favorite pizza place ever. My fiance was amazed when I brought him for the first time at how big the pizza was, we even saved the box. They have cheese steaks, chicken, pasta and a whole full menu, but if you order a pizza you'll be too full for anything else! They are open year round. They have a bar and views of the beach if you sit by the window. Huge parking lot so you don't have to park on the street. It's at the end of the boardwalk so you can walk the boardwalk before or after you eat. You won't regret bringing your family here!

June 17, 2021 Review:

Third and final stop at a place we've been to a number of times for a tried and true product.

For $6.00 you can get the Special which includes a pint of beer and one of the largest slices of Boardwalk Style Pizza.

A pint cost $4.00 and the slice is normally $4.75 giving you a $2.75 savings.

You have to sit at the bar to get the Special and since Kit does not drink, I win by having 2 Pints with my 🍕 slice.

As with most of the large slice format establishments, one slice = 2-3 of the regular large pizza slices.

The slice is as tasty as on other visits and is one of the better places among the different boardwalks in New Jersey.

Had a great dinner at The Sawmill. We were there around 7 on a Saturday evening and it was quite busy. Our server, Ellie, was quick and attentive and even with a mask you could tell she was smiling! We started with the blackened tuna bites which were absolutely delicious. For dinner we each had one of their enormous slices of pizza. I wasn't expecting much from the pizza simply because a slice that big seems more or a novelty / gimmick... But it was pretty good slice. We will definitely stop back next time we're in the area.

Huge portions! Great Staff! Only drawback is the very loud noise level inside. Pictured below is the Cobb Salad, Sawmill Burger, & Clams/Linguini. Not pictured were the Fantastic App's! (Cheeseballs, Pretzel Bites, & Coconut Shrimp)....also not pictured my $10 20oz. Pina Colada. So don't let those $$$ fool you on cost. There's plenty! You can easily dine here for a lot less. I'm just one of those people who likes to try a lot in one trip! So the breakdown for our part of 3....3 app's, 3 entrees, 2 alcoholic beverages and 1 non. Before tip $109 on a peak summer Friday night.Did not have to wait for a table either.Highly recommend, will be back next season.....have to try the pizza; looks amazing! I could probably wear a slice as a top they are that big...might need 2......but they are huge......roughly 7 pepperoni across the crust. Have I mentioned the incredible staff??? Wicked nice, prompt, & attentive!

Haven't been back to the shore since I was a kid. What a deal for this slice of pizza which is a big as a small pie where I come from and it comes with a beer for $6 for cheese only and 50 each topping extra. Place was clean and staff were friendly! Part of making visiting home again great! Thank you!

Great environment! The service and bartenders are awesome! Lots of TVs, right on the beach! My favorite place on the boardwalk! The pizza was amazing! We started here for lunch and ended here before heading home. Highly recommend.

The Sawmill is literally a Jersey Shore landmark. It is open all year and a favorite spot for both locals and tourists. It is family friendly with fast and friendly service. The food is great and their iconic Jumbo Pizza is delicious and a must-have as part of the Seaside Boardwalk experience.

This place is great. Even if you want just one slice, they understand and will make an entire pie of it in hopes of other people buying it. Jersey shore pizza at its finest. It is a huge portion of pizza; it is a great deal when buying a pie compared to the size and price of a regular pizza pie. The rest of the food sounds and looks good too. Also- the employees are nice.
