Bum Rogers Crab House & Tavern

The food here is fresh and amazing. The guy who served us was very helpful. The atmosphere here is laidback and friendly. My partner and I saw customers coming in and greeting the individuals who work here by their first names. Really gave a good vibe. They even have live bands! I love their salt and pepper shaker lol

Popped in for "lunch" on a Monday @ 2:30 with my wife. Had drinks and waited until 3:00 to order from Happy Hour menu.

Shared mussels & a cheeseburger. Both were fabulous. Seaside Mule was tasty also, along with a few beers.

Service was extraordinary. Brendan is a top notch bartender.

Honestly I have to say this five star review is given because of Francesca. I am not one to leave reviews but after being served by Francesca I knew I had to leave one. To come with my friends and see how busy this establishment was I did not expect the level of care and friendliness that Francesca showed. She not only executed serving our food and drinks in a timely matter but she made the overall experience super friendly! Would 11/10 recommend this place and recommend her to be my server in the future.

So happy we spent our last dinner in seaside at Bum Roger’s! The live music was great and the bar was filled with listeners. We decided to play it safe and go for the snow crab legs, but they had options for local crabs and Dungeness as well. We tried to order the famous lobster bisque, but our server forgot to put in our order. By the time we mentioned it our mains came out. Thankfully she was nice enough to bring one out on the house because she overheard us talking about how much we wanted to try it. Honestly if I had to choose between the crab dip or the bisque, I would go with the crab dip. It was cheesy and filled with crab. Overall, the vibes, the service and the food was great. Excited to come back next summer.

I'm so mad that I did not take pictures of my plate, but I have to tell you the stuffed shrimp with the lobster and crab meat stuffing with the roasted vegetables and rice. Absolutely fantastic!
Service was great. The atmosphere was awesome and we actually went the day before St. Patrick's Day and we had a very very nice early dinner or late lunch however you would like to put it but definitely worth the trip

Let me just start by saying I don’t write reviews often but THIS IS BY FAR the best seaside has to offer when it comes to atmosphere, service, and just the top notch vibes you could wish for. Francesca is by far the best service you could ask for!! Food, drinks, music.. not a single complaint. GO HERE ASAP you won’t regret it!

We went to have lunch with the dog 🐩. 1- they allow dogs outside in the patio area 2- they have dog menu ( chicken or beef steak and on the side veggies or rice or carrots. Portions small medium and large. We take small for 7 dollars and it was really big :: ) 3- be prepared to show vaccination proof for the dog (nobody asked but it was mentioned in the rules about the dogs) 4- our waitress was very organized, nice and attentive 5- food was fresh 6- we like atmosphere there 7- if you have dog they would bring water with the ice 🧊 we liked our experience and I would highly recommend this place !!!!!!!!!

Great restaurant and bar right outside of island beach state park. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with dogs allowed outside. They have a menu for dogs as well, which our pup always loves. They often have live music at night, so it's a great place to stop for a few drinks

SO good! Somehow it was our first time here, even though we live locally! My husband chose it for his birthday dinner and we were not disappointed! We were a party of 10, and our server, Mary, was awesome! Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back soon. 🤤

Great drinks & atmosphere. I manage a fine dining restaurant in Sea Girt and was impressed with the quality of food and service here. Had a great time today thanks to Francesca at the bar. Will definitely be back soon.

Our second time visiting and we LOVED it!! The crabs are da bomb!!! Must've been served about 8 or 9 crabs and had to take three home as leftovers! Clams on the half shell were fresh and tasty! Seafood fra diavolo was giant and with just the right amount of spice! Serving portions were huge and food was delicious! We ate at the outside tables and our waiter was excellent!! Hopping bar scene for those looking to enjoy drinks with friends! Can't wait to go back next time we're down the shore! Thanks for a great meal! 😋

Came in and the waitress was so sweet. Quick service. Gave me a heart-shaped straw and ive never had a better experience. My waitress was Ana, please give her a thanks from me! Food was fantastic, calamari and crab cakes were delicious. Singer on stage did a great job. Overall had a great night!

Our family of 8 from three generations enjoyed dinner here on Tuesday night. The service was great, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Noteworthy menu items were the Garlic Crabs, Shrimp Creole and especially the Jersey Shore Thing, which my grandson said was GREAT.

I gotta say my friends and I had such a balllll with Francesca while she was working. BEST SERVICE EVER in Seaside! Yall better check her out! I WILL be back. This place I’ve been going for years and stopped due to service but now I’m going there every weekend! Join my friends and I!!!

Francesca is the best bartender I have ever seen . I will definitely be coming here more often and making this probably my permanent hang out. Christina was also fantastic.

I worked here 1980-1984. What a great time and experience as the menu developed, nights the place transformed into the area's Best New Wave Club there was, loud Ramones, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Squeeze and others' records were spun as the packed place danced. It was as glorious as Goodfellas, i mean FUN. The food was delicious, plentiful and wonderful people to work with and for. BUM ROGERS LEGEND!

I LOVE this place! I used to be a resident in seaside and fell in love with the entire island of seaside and Bum Rogers will always be on the top of my list for my favorite's on the island. I have been going there for 2 years and now drive an hour to dine there. I have tried quite a few things on their menus and assure you no matter what you order....you will never be disappointed ! The best scallops ala vodka you will ever have for sure!

I loved my friend clams, my husband did not care for his scallops though. Really cute place. I'm sure it's very busy in the summer. The wait staff and hostess were very nice, we felt welcomed.

Hearing great reviews from friends we've stopped a couple of times leaving Island Beach State Park. The staff is eager to please and the atmosphere is very inviting. Having tried a variety of things I have to say, I don't believe anything on the menu would disappoint. The drinks are refreshing and the food is fresh and perfectly prepped. With the vast menu, you will definitely find something you'll enjoy here.
