Great atmosphere, food and service. Best breakfast sandwich in town. Have never waited more than 7-10 minutes. Quality is outstanding and the staff is always friendly. Great coffee and espresso drinks. Burkes is such a gem for Bay Head / Point Beach - as there is no other European-style cafe or market for miles and miles.

I was cold from surfing in late December and had a car issue. While waiting for assistance, and freezing, I came into Burke's to get warm and they immediately got me hot soup and a grilled cheese. Amazing hospitality. 5-stars.

I had both Thanksgiving and Easter holidays catered by Burkes Market. The food was simply fabulous! The ingredients were fresh and of high quality and the meals tasted as if they were homecooked by an Italian grandmother from the old country. Highly Recommend!!

Coming here during the Corona “issue”. Their Chili is good ! They make both Chicken and Beef Chili. Amongst many other things. It was a little on the mild side but they’ll give you a small side container to spice it up.

Our family loves Burke’s Market! Burke’s is a beautiful space, super clean ALWAYS and has an incredible selection of products ranging from amazing sandwiches, the best prepared soups/salads/veggies and homemade gelato- SO good. It is our go to spot for everything we may need for our summers at the beach. Also a great spot to find that perfect hostess gift. Our kids LOVE the candy cabana and truly look forward to visiting every summer with their friends. Jackie and her team are always super friendly and helpful. We are SO happy to have Burke’s market just down the street- Bay Head loves Burke’s!!

I love Burkes Market. It is located within biking distance of my house and is so convenient and well stocked. I was a patron of Curtis' Central Market for many years and it was a staple of the town. Now under the new name and owner it has become a daily stop for me. The breakfast sandwiches are the best in town and their subs are excellent. They are always supporting other small local businesses and that extends to their liquor/beer selection as well. It is so nice to be able to stop in and grab a nice bottle of wine or local craft beer on your way to a dinner or gathering. The staff is young but very helpful and friendly. I would recommend Burkes to anybody and appreciate the owner and staff for all of their hard work loyalty to the community.

Arguably one of the best markets I've visited in New Jersey. I ordered the East Italian Sub - greatest ever, all meat cut fresh, bread was delicious. Everyone that works there is courteous and polite. Jackie (owner) is a sweetheart and clearly is a perfectionist - you'll know that as soon as you walk into her store. The only issue is that its so far from my home!

Every time I go to Burkes, it takes me to a nice down home place. Food is good the owner makes her own sauce & mostly everything in the case. She is always busy but has time to say hello. Thumann products are way better than the "other" brand. Sure you may have to wait a little, but its worth the wait. Each sandwich is made to order. The Liquor store has just about everything you can want to drink.

Today I called this sweet little market that I remembered stopping in two summers ago during a visit to Bay Head. I was looking for a special gift basket for a good friend who was just getting out of the hospital-needed it delivered same day. Spoke to two great girls, Gianna and Cindy, who helped me via many text messages all afternoon. I told them what I was looking for and they sent picture after picture after picture until they came up with the perfect gift basket for my friend! By the end of the day, it was personally delivered to her door and my friend absolutely LOVED it! Thank you ladies for helping me get this this wonderful package delivered. Love shopping local even all the way from Wilmington NC!

This is my GO-TO spot in Bay Head. They have everything you could possibly need. The market is well stocked with just about anything you can think of, whether just to feed yourself or your family, or to entertain guests. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. Oh, and the egg sandwich is the best ever . . . anywhere. The liquor store is like a high-end Manhattan wine shop/liquor store with an incredible selection, and they never cease to amaze me with new (adult) beverages, just to keep things interesting. Thank you, Burkes, for making the beach that much better! ;-)

This is a great local business with fresh and delicious food. The owner and staff are very friendly and you can tell they enjoy being there. I had The Mount today which is a hot sandwich on rye with pastrami, coal slaw, Swiss cheese, and spicy mustard. When I finished it, even though I was full, I wanted another one. Go try this family business out!!!! Oh and their homemade giant chocolate chunk cookies are to die for!!!

Always a great experience at the market! Friendly college-aged workers who are incredibly welcoming and it is evident that they enjoy their jobs. The food is terrific and I give credit to the owner and staff for keeping up with the constant flow of customers and orders especially during the pandemic. You don't want to miss Burke's when passing through Bay Head!

Amazing market!!! Excellent authentic Italian prepared food, homemade gelato, coffee, papers, attached liquor store and also a super cute candy cabana stocked with candy , and all your needs for a day at the beach. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. You definitely don't want to miss this place if you are in the Bay Head area.

Burke's Market is amazing! This is the kind of place you walked into when you were a kid and everything smelled so delicious and fresh. I love this place! I wish all the best to Jackie and family and friends! I will be visiting this market as often as possible for good, fresh and tasty food! And, don't forget, on the way out, pick up some alcohol - they have a great selection of wines, whiskeys, vodkas, etc... what a great place to visit and pick up a great meal and also, don't forget the candy store around back and gelato too! - I think I will move in :)

Walked into Burke’s in a dirty t shirt and tattoos. I didn’t expect to be greeted as friendly as i was. The girl with the backwards Colgate hat at the deli counter was so kind and friendly to my fiancé and i. Quality food, great service, not too pricey, and a great vibe overall. Best of luck in your first summer you’ll be seeing us soon!!

First time visitor and was so in love with the space, the people, the products, and FOOD. As someone with many allergies, there were plenty of options for me so picking up lunch for my family and me was a breeze. Packed a lunch for the beach so this is a must stop and much needed spot in town. The adjacent Candy Cabana offers so much for your little one in a colorful nook while you can order delectable bites. Brava!

Perfect addition to Bay Head. Great place to meet and enjoy an espresso or cappuccino. The food is wonderful. The liquor store is well stocked with quality wines at a fair price. Burke’s Market is a big upgrade for Bay Head. A must see.
