Ohana Grill

We have been here numerous times and it never disappoints. Food and service is excellent. It’s on the loud side in the dinning rooms (outside seating available). In my opinion it’s a small trade off for a great meal!

Enjoyed an excellent meal last night with friends. Food was great, casual friendly atmosphere, service was excellent. Had the mussels, salads were great, seafood curry, blackened fish special, and short ribs to name a few. Then finished with daily bread pudding special and a tsunami for dessert! Will definitely return!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was so amazing. They had so many gluten free options and also many daily specials for appetizers and dinners. All the staff were very friendly and our server was great too. Yes there is limited parking (it's Lavallette, small beach town wth do you expect?) And guess what calms live in the ocean (the kitchen staff cannot get out every damn piece of sand) I truly hate people that leave reviews like that!!!!
So if you'd love a great, fresh, amazing meal this is the local spot. We will be back again and we will leave another seller review!!! Don't let people's bitterness on wait time stear you away from this restaurant.

They had a great selection of Hawaiian inspired food. It was hard to choose what to get, everything looked so good. The ribs appetizer was especially amazing. The curry seafood is super spicy which was perfect for us. But may be too much for the average spice lover. The coconut rice was amazing. I could eat an entire plate of that alone. My waistline is grateful that they gave a moderate portion.
We loved the coconut tiramisu, but didnt love the ohana bread dessert.
The vibe was super casual. Which was relaxed.
Make a reservation in advance they are so popular they are always booked up.
The hostest and waitress were super friendly and attentive. We were seated immediately with our reservation. And the service was fast. One of the best service experiences on the island.
Parking is street parking on side streets, which is hard to find in the summer so leave a little early to account for that.

Have been here on a number of occasions. The food is always excellent. Most recently we had Thanksgiving catered by them. The entire family loved the food. Excellent.

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner at Ohana Grill. Their menu is large so there is a lot to chose from, which also means we will be going back to try everything else. While my wife didn’t enjoy her meal as much as I did, I think it was just a mater of her not liking the style of the plate. I loved everything I had, we did the wasabi calamari and spare ribs to start, both delicious and very flavorful. For dinner I had the Seared Ahi Tuna and added a stuffed lobster tail. Both really well done and cooked to perfection. Also, the mango rice was excellent. Will definitely come back for me. Love the BYOB aspect and Lavallette Liquors has a nice selection next door.

Went here last night with my husband. The food was fantastic, and so was the service. We ordered a salad with bib lettuce, walnuts, bluecheese and a delicious dressing. For dinner my husband had salmon with a maple pecan crust, sweet potato puree, and carrots and green beans; he said it was the best salmon he ever had. I despise salmon but I tried a taste and, yeah it was delicious. I had a scallop dinner with a mushroom and crab risotto the scallops were huge, done perfectly. I was concerned about the crab in the risotto but it was not overpowering at all. We had dessert, my husband had the apple bread pudding, and I had the skillet chocolate chip cookie with icecream. Everything was excellent. Currently this place is open Thursdays through Saturday, in the summer it is open all week. Not a large restaurant and you must have reservations. We got there at six pm by the time we left it was packed. If you are looking for a great place to eat, I highly recommend the Ohana Grill. Enjoy!

Went here for a nice dinner. Crispy pork belly was succulent and flavorful, served over a fresh and wonderfully spicy kimchi. The Thai Curry, Day Scallop Risotto, and Salmon Bowl were bright, fresh and done right. Lobster tails were cooked to perfection. Request Kayley as your server. She was a delight and Alex was an amazing server assistant.

a really solid spot in lavallette. i’ve tried many of their appetizers and entrees, including this lobster pot pie, and it always hits the mark. the atmosphere is lovely if you sit outside - just make sure to leave yourself ample time to find parking if you’re driving and reserve several days in advance if you want a prime time reservation time.

My spouse and I were at this establishment in September and both of our meals were delicious. The service was very good. See you again, when we are in the area.

Finally made it back here after taking a few years off. Of course we waited until the off-season because it's very hard to get a decent reservation time in the summer. Once again the restaurant was everything we asked for. Great service, delicious food, and BYO. Highly recommend this location if you can get in at time that fits your eating style.

Last night Kristy and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at The @ohanagrilllava in #Lavallette #NJ. I highly recommend going if you have never been there and make sure you make a #reservation. I started with the #CrabBalls - #risotto, lump #crabmeat, Vermont #cheddarcheese, lemon #aioli. They tasted great and they were like #crabcakes with risotto in them. I enjoyed them. Then I had the incredible Day Boat #Scallops Risotto - #mushroom, #spinach and #crab. I can tell you the #dish was absolutely amazing and the scallops were cooked to #perfection. My pictures are dark (did not want to use my flash) but you can see it looked very good.

Date night done right... From the panko shrimp to the perfectly cooked steak to the salmon special to the hot chocolate chip cookie skillet desert... It was the best celebration in a long time.. Elegant, delicious, and the service was unbelievable... If you are down in the Lavallette area and want an insanely delicious meal... Look no further and set up a reservation!

Great food. Short ribs and scallops were delicious.
Had a table next to the open kitchen so it was very noisy and hectic. Ask for a different table.

This place is great! You can definitely tell the Hawaiian influences here. We got the spam fried rice as an appetizer (never actually tried spam before) and omg it is delicious. I loved my pecan salmon for dinner... My hubbies braised beef was pretty overcooked but overall very yummy and would return. We were also outside and it was 87 degrees, but there's this neat shade that blocks the sun so honestly we were very comfortable outside. Our waitress was very nice.

Just like the times in the past Ohana was awesome. Both the food and service were top notch.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Ohana Grill. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. I had the ahi tuna which was perfectly cooked. Also, the butternut squash was awesome with just the perfect amount of spice. The prices were reasonable. We love BYOBs and will add it to our list of favorites.

Crispy fish tacos or crab cake sliders with chili aioli are the way to go! You won’t be disappointed! The fish tacos have the perfect crunch and are seasoned just right! They’re usually up north but they make an appearance in south jersey every now & then so don’t miss out!
