Riverwood Park Recreation

Favorite park around here for 2 years old! Many parks are built 5+ but this is perfect for new Walker, crawler, and under 5! If you are near Toms River, this would be less crowed compared to castle park.

Very clean and well maintained park. I absolutely love the playground and different section of the park.

Perfect early morning environment. Sharing w/my 2 1/2 yr old grandson the natural elements n appreciation of the natural wild life around us.

Gorgeous park with plenty of shady parking spaces, nice trails and fun for the kiddos!

Nice clean quiet kid friendly

Great park to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Lots of paths to follow. Restrooms were "winterized" so couldn't use them. Make sure you gave an empty bladder before going!

This is one of my favorite parks! There's a picnic area as well as a playground. My favorite part of the park by far is the trail. It's a secluded trail that goes along the water with multiple places that the greenery opens up and you can see the river. Really really really really really enjoyable park. Every time I go back I wonder what took me so long to go back. I really and truly love spending time here!

Beautiful Park. Large playground on one end and a nice picnic area at the other end near the bathrooms with a smaller playground.

We reserved the picnic table area for my mother's memorial service on June 19th.
It wasn't crowded and only cost 50 dollars for the permit to reserve the area for the day. Bathrooms were open and clean with the exception of having about of mud and dirt tracked into the bathrooms.

We walk our dog here often. There are several trails to walk in the woods. It is beautiful and well kept.

This Park is clean, it has a fitness center outside 🤯 which is brand-new, there's a large paved walking area with a small pond, bathrooms are open, softball fields, an ice cream truck rolls through every hour or so, and kids love it here! Great for all age groups. There's no swings just fyi.

An underrated place to chill in Toms River. They have an amazing playground for all ages and enough swings.
There are tons of fields where you can play, run and do all you please. There is plenty of parking and usually very quiet.

We love this park for the playground. It's clean, and there's lots to do for ages 2-8. There are bathrooms and also a seating area with picnic tables for eating. The newer playground is Western themed and instead of mulch, it's a safe rubber surface. Another bonus to this playground.

Limited to no shade on the play area, but there is shaded seating. Still a good idea to bring water and/or umbrella. Great fun for toddlers and big kids. Slides and swings, and other stuff.

Really nice park with many parts to take nice walks on. Has a few basketball courts. Some nice songs and slides for the youngins. There is plenty of parking as well. Would definitely recommend checking this place out

Great soccer fields here. Not as many as some other towns like Holmdel, but immaculately maintained and beautiful on a nice day. Plenty of parking immediately adjacent to the soccer fields. The Toms River Football Club has great facilities here, too.

Beautiful county park along a river, playgrounds. Well maintained, lots of parking, easy access. Great place for families & children.
