Lava Java House

Good vibes, good people, good coffee, good food. To eat, I got a taylor and cheese, and my better half got a Lava Love. Washed it down with a large Costa Rican bean blend, Delicious. Thank you Lava Java, you put a smile on our face!

Awesome! Amazing! Inclusive! We’ve been wanting to experience this coffee shop the past couple summers but by the time we get all the ducklings out of the house at the beach, they are closed. Finally made it this time!

Enjoyed a very delicious iced dirty chai latte! Music was bumpin. Employees were happy and dancing, which you can always taste in a beverage/meal. Happy cooks make yummy meals. Stop by and get happy!

Oh. And buy yourself a t-shirt. Go spread love and acceptance as a walking billboard for this spot!

Always a great experience here. People are friendly and have their act together. I had french toast yesterday even though it wasn't on the menu and it was awesome. We also had a breakfast sandwich was huge and delicious. Cant forget to mention the coffee made just the way you like it. This is always our first and last spot when we come down to Ortley. Thanks for providing that happy feeling!

Fantastic coffee and delicious breakfast and pastry options. I think they make the best crumb cake I've ever had, its fluffly and light. The muffins are great as well. Plenty of seating out front, very stroller friendly! The staff are extremely outgoing and a pleasure to interact with.

From the moment my amazing girlfriend and I walked into this quaint cafe, we fell in love with the vibes, decor, smells and more so, the people. They were so accommodating. Coffee and food are amazing, as always. Every time I’m town, I make sure to stop by. The people who work here are always incredibly nice, and it’s such a great addition to the shore.

I've been making a breakfast stop at Lava Java for the past couple of years while visiting Lavallette and it's still one of my favorite places to visit. I love the coffee and the food, but the real secret sauce is the employee attitudes and inclusive environment that Lava Java cultivates.

I've probably taken 3-4 picture of their "all welcome" sign out front over the years, because I love the message so much. You can get a good cup of coffee from a bunch of places down at the shore, but you'd be hard pressed to find a shop that's more welcoming to all. That's why I keep on coming back!

This place is awesome. Lovely staff. Sarah, who took my order is particularly friendly and warm. Gave me a discount for wearing a NKOTB t-shirt. IYKYK. The breakfast sandwich is epic (see pic). Could eat one every day. Love the atmosphere. Solid music as well. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow.

Love this adorable, friendly gem in Lavalette. Coffee is great and served with a smile. Nice outside seating.

I purchased a hot cortado and an order of avocado toast with fried egg and everything seasoning on it. The receipt said that the cashier's name was Sarah B., I don't know if that's who the cashier was, but she was super pleasant, plus my order was ready in less than 5 minutes.

Lava Java has the best breakfast sandwiches and drinks. Sizes for drinks are super large and reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly and helpful!

The usual trips to the shore, we again had to stop into LAVA JAVA ! A cool hot spot. Nice pics & art throughout the coffee shop. Very comfy and artistic feeling. The Large Iced Rose coffee is highly recommended as well as many of the breakfast sandwiches. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable!!

I love this place so much!!! I came with a group of friends from out of town. Everyone was so kind and friendly. They went above and beyond to accommodate my friends and I. Everyone loved the food, great service, and delicious coffee!! They really make you feel at home here, we loved it!

Favorite coffee spot - small little place inside and can get busy but really nice seating options outside to hang - get there early for best ambiance and no wait - nice big cold brews and very tasty scones

Best Coffee Shop ever! When on the Jersey Shore, this place ROCKS! Great coffee, great service, great food! The workers are great! They make you feel good! They greet you with a smile and when you leave say good bye (with your name). I was only there a couple days, but they seem to know their repeat customers by name. Muffins are phenomenal too!

I came on a Saturday morning and the line was long but it moved quickly. The breakfast sandwich was ok but the large coffee is gigantic and very reasonably priced!
