Probably one of the premier delicatessen store in NYC offering a fine selection of smoked fish, gourmet cheeses, and many other specialties. You can also enjoy their superb products and services by catering for your special events. Highly recommended!

This has been my go-to place when I want to buy groceries. They carry a big variety and a good quality of products from countries around the world. But I need to mention something important. Their prices change a lot! For example up until 2 months ago I used to buy the power green salad for $5.99. Nowadays for the same lbs I buy it for up to $8-$9. I’m buying specific items so I can tell the difference. Other than that everything is great.

Very tasty sandwich and bagel. Affordable too! Ordered for pick-up right off of google search which I believe is linked to Toast. Do this because it works and saves a long wait given the time of day you plan to go!

Vietnamese Coffee: Iced option only, was good. Not typically as sweet as it usually is made though which I preferred.

Bacon Egg and Cheese on a Roll: Got it toasted, was very tasty and didn’t get soggy as a to-go order. The egg is prepared very well!

Everything Bagel w/ Scallion Cream Cheese: Very tasty bagel, light, smaller than the massive ones (what I was expecting). Cream Cheese was your regular ones you can make at home so nothing to rave about. Would try the lox next time.

visited this adult-version of wonderland during my time in New York in April of last year. I have heard the legends of the NYC deli and grocery store, but was not ready for the real life experience. The place is like a maze, in the best way, taking you through aisles and aisles of deliciousness. In a nutshell, Zabar’s has everything you need from a grocery run, with all you would ever need for any meal or craving, ever. And their bagels and lox – wow.

As a lifetime “Basically” New Yorker originally from UES and Now on UWS, except for periods away in CT or overseas. Authentic old school Institutions like Zabars and other Zabar Family related businesses have always brought happiness to my life through its sophisticated selection of unmatched wholesome house made, Imported And gourmet food products. In addition to its equally as unmatched kitchen supplies and appliances section which I have only seen likes of in Europe, Asia or for Commercial use.

My god, Zabars just gets better with age. We came 20 years ago, and fell in love with this family owned deli, and coming back this week did not disappoint. Yes, it has changed somewhat, and there is more choice than ever before. The cheese selection is immense - if you're a European living here, Zabar's will have something in store from home for you. The coffee beans are freshly ground as you order them, a much better, more inclusive and enjoyable experience than the last time - we ground our own in a little machine in the corner. Make sure ypu hut the smoked sturgeon - my OH says it's one of the most delicious things he's ever had.

The bagel lox and smear where very good. The blintz was yummy. Met the 3rd generation family owner, he helped me pick some coffee beans to take home.

Incredible selection of European food and beyond in the market + great on-the-go options in the bakery next door (with the same name).
Prices on the high side but understandable given the location and variety-uniqueness of the offering.

This place is great, there is a wide range of cheese, jam, coffee.. anything you might need. I got to chat with this great lady about the jam selection. It’s definitely a place the Upper West Side community come together. I bought Branston pickle which i was looking for for a while. Great experience overall!

Zabar’s is a staple in New York, and I see why. Their classic bagel sandwich with smoked salmon is packed with flavor. Definitely grab a pastry too while you’re there.

Quality you can taste and yes, they ship your orders with care too - everything was received in just couple days, packed with care and everything in very good condition.

Great place to stop to get gourmet groceries, housewares, coffee. Was able to find head cheese.

If they don’t have it here it doesn’t exist.
Been a favorite of mine since at least 1980 and I just wish I lived closer! I still have the Italian pasta bowl and the garlic press I bought from here 40+ years ago! You’ll need a lot of time here and you still won’t see it all!

A great grocery store with a huge cheese selection, amazing smoked salmon and coffee beans and bread sections. I was really impressed by the variety the store offered. For example the varieties of honey and jams they were selling was impressive. Check out their sandwich shop next door!

Quintessentially New York (and probably/arguably the city's best) Deli with delicious breads, dips, cheeses and salads 👌- the Whitefish Pate, Cinnamon Scroll and Magic Bar are my repeat picks ... Brilliant collection point to fill a basket on a ride/wander to a lazy afternoon picnic in Central Park

Absolutely loved our lox bagel. The everything bagel was perfectly garlicky and salty. They put a decent amount of lox on the bagel. And it’s very reasonably priced. Will definitely come back to do some shopping in the market next time.

The number one best deli and grocery in the city! Maybe in all of the country. They have everything you could ever want at the grocery. The deli counter makes incredible sandwiches and to go meals. The coffee is well curated and they will do custom roast and blending while you wait! Be sure to visit the upstairs and see all the proper kitchen items. I wish I lived closer as I would go here on a daily basis.

Rueben panini was delicious as was the cold brew. Also visited the store for a few bits. Great store with a good selection. The hot food and salad counter was great. Corn salad and maple glazed squash are a must. Will make the trip again

The holy land of Jewish appetisers. Somehow, everyone steps in there and instantly becomes an actual or honorary Old Jewish Man. As much a cultural and city institution as you can get, and for good reason. Their salmon slicing is like watching someone carve the Statue of David out of fish. Their bagels are somehow chewy enough to test your jaw but not strain it. Their black and white cookies could settle race relations forever. A legend.

In my opinion on of the absolute best tasting lox bagels I’ve tried in Manhattan! It’s on the pricier side of the spectrum but in my mind worth it! It’s very close to the natural museum if you want to make a stop before going in. Be aware of it being a smaller location so there’s not that many tables to eat at.
