My fiancé and I have been living in this area for three years and never ate inside any of the restaurants since we usually go to the city. In our efforts to support local we decided to try Angelo’s and it did not disappoint! I recently went to Milan for work but the food here is just as amazing! The decor really set the fine dining ambiance, we had the rigatoni w/ ricotta, linguine with claims, and the claims oreganata for appetizer. We couldn’t decide between a side of meatballs or sausage and so they gave us one of each as a single side.

The portions were huge and we devoured the fresh bread. We received the BEST service from our server, Alberto. This is the perfect spot for date night as the staff are so conscious of making you feel like you’re not rushed. Halfway through we had to take our food to go because we were stuffed but after a glass of Cabernet we decided to buy a bottle of Brunello because we hardly see those available at other restaurants. 10/10 we cannot wait to bring our parents here! I’ve been a regular here since birth. This gem refuses to change its original classic atmosphere and spectacular Italian food. This is my favorite restaurant in the world - period. The pastas are all superb, the steak is great and their shrimp and biscuit with hot sauce is out of this world! Their hot tomato sauce is divine. I’ve had everything on the menu except the lobster tail the clam dishes but can attest that everything on the menu is amazing. The artichoke oreganata is excellent, nice wine menu, and amazing deserts. The servers are old school and will bend over backwards to make your experience the best. They take all COVID precautions. Can’t wait for the next opportunity I have to eat here again! Cheers!

They were obviously busy, but still got us seated right away. The service was excellent and the food was delicious with generous portions! Would definitely recommend 🍝

Angelo's is my favorite restaurant in Bergen County and should be in Webster's definition of red sauce Jersey Italian joints.
The bar has an integrated continuous cushioned armrest, a skilled and friendly bartender, and the ambience of a Scorsese film.
The menu has all the classics with some quirks; i.e. the "meat sauce" has the asterisked disclaimer that it is not a bolognese (it's light enough to top a side pasta) and meatballs can be served with french fries. I had the breaded veal cutlet with a delicious side of hot peppers and onions to top the cutlet with. Side of al dente spaghetti and artichoke appetizer. All fantastic!

Note that you must toss your own pasta and red pepper and parm are on the table for this purpose!

Desserts are from the adjacent Lyndhurst Pastry Shop and I especially the recommend the ricotta cheesecake, cannoli, and rum cake.

They have their own parking around the back....a plus in crowded southern Bergen County.

Anyone who likes Italian American classics executed perfectly must eat here. 11/10!

I have been coming to this place for many years. It is always a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and efficient from the owners to the bartenders to waiters and the bus Boys.

It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We had clams oreganata, stuffed artichokes, shrimp scampi and the best tiramasu around! Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.

If you love Italian cuisine, you will definitely love this place. They make the manicotti just the way my mother used to make it.

Showed up on a packed night without reservations. Extremely nice hostess set up a table for us. Dinner was excellent. I have celiacs and tried their gluten-free spaghetti with clam sauce. Very delicious and for once a good gluten-free pasta dish. Excellent wine dinner and service!!!

Old school Italian restaurant. Full dining room on a Sunday night. My eggplant parmigiano was the best I've ever had at a restaurant.

Angelo's is you Old School Italian Joint. I have been coming here for over 40 years first with my father and now with my family and friends. The menu hasn't changed much in that time but the food is always great

Came from out of town. Went on a recommendation from someone who lives in area. The meatballs were incredible. My son's chicken parm was very good. Highly recommend.

Haven't been to Angelo's well over a year, we needed a reservation but they found us a table, the wait staff was friendly, food great & we weren't rushed out. It turned out to be a very enjoyable evening. Angelo's was my Uncle Frank's favorite place to eat real Italian food.

So this may be the second review I’ve left this place and if it is it’s well deserved. The customer service is impeccable. I’ve been trying to steal the spicy sauce and managawt sauce for 5 years. I can’t understand how it’s done. It’s incredible. There’s nothing like it from Italy to anywhere in NY or Jersey and don’t tell my grandma but it’s not even close. Well maybe close but mannn if I find out how they make this sauce I’m a hero FOREVEA in my family. The rigatoni with ricotta, the managawt, and the spicy shrimp with biscuit spicy you will never go anywhere else ever. If you do you have the taste buds of a grub. 😁
