Where to begin..

Both outstanding skill and value to be found in this shop. I have a background in engineering and I'm extremely mechanically inclined. I do all of the service on the two (one old and one new) BMWs in my household and I know what is involved in just about any maintenance job down to the more difficult jobs like valve stem seals and the transmission.

I had planned on doing my valve cover gaskets, upper timing chain gaskets, and alternator mounting bracket on my 2006 BMW 650i (140k miles) in the spring when warm weather returned, but my car had other plans. It developed a catastrophic leak in perfect timing with the outdoor temperature drop. Rather than spending 10+ hours in my driveway working on the car with freezing fingers in the winter I went out shopping for a mechanic I could trust with my car.

I must have called 10 shops in the Bergen County area! Justin (the mechanic) took the time to answer my detailed questions regarding the specifics of the job (no way I would trust this job to somebody who hasn't done it at least 20 times before) as the work is both time-consuming and risky considering the car is a high mileage vehicle and the plastic becomes very brittle with age. Many shops won't even touch this job.

To make a long story short, in the end their prices were the best around, and the job came out great.

Trust me, finding places like this is not easy, I absolutely HATE trusting other mechanics to work on my engines and in addition to knowing all of the right answers, I got that gut feeling that Justin knew exactly what he was doing and did not cut any corners.

Five stars. Don't let the small-shop look fool you, there is REAL skill to be found here!

Going back next week to get actual work done (hahah hope this isn’t premature!), but there’s something to say about professionalism! Both Justin and Frank greeted me when I arrived, as I was getting an inspection on a privately purchased car. Justin informed me what should get done, but wasn’t pressuring me to get the repairs - seems like an honest guy and establishment. I’ll review again when done - but so far, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

-Just picked up my car from Justin. So far so good! And Justin is always so helpful and gives off a positive vibe (in the end it's customer service too, and he doesn't give off anything negative during my experiences with him). I've dealt with a total of FOUR mechanics this month (three prior to Justin), and they were all either rude or made me worry leaving my car with them because of their attitudes. Thank you, Justin (and Frank, I believe he is the owner) - a happy customer so far!

Needed a new muffler asap. I called, spoke to Frank, and was able to bring my car in the next day (I could've brought it that day but my schedule didn't allow). Frank is very honest and kept in contact with me throughout the day with updates. My car was fixed in a day. I've used Frank's Auto Tech in the past and had a great experience then as well. It's nice to know there's an honest mechanic around who also didn't take advantage of a woman who isn't too car savvy.

New owner Antonio is great, actual name of this business is Antonio’s Auto Body. He is awesome at his work. Fixed my brakes which were making terrible noises, great with repairs.

Justin is a knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward mechanic that truly does his job right. Just as importantly their labor is very fairly priced and they do the best to save you money on parts.

If you have a BMW and live anywhere near Frank's, forget the dealership and go here (this is not an add or friend of the business)

Very kind folks work here. Honest business with better than fair prices. Frank was able to find me 4 difficult to find tires and did all the work very fast. I also got a new battery for a great price. If you are tired of dealing with cold hearted BIG repair shops, I highly recommend Franks Garage in Maywood. In this day and age it’s getting harder to find an honest repair shop. I am now a regular customer.

Excellent Exceptional professionalism & honesty. Spent hours sorting out an electrical problem which no one else could - found it was a inexpensive sending switch and charged only for switch & repair, although it had been a time consuming puzzle.
Repairs only & is very busy. worth a wait , even for straightforward maintenance & repairs.

Justin is a very trustworthy repair man. I am very happy I brought my car to him. If you need your BMW or Mini serviced this is the shop you should take your cars too.

It was really hard to find a place that knew the ins and outs of a MINI, well this place is it. Frank and Justin being personable and trustworth is a plus. Def would recommend these guys!

It's two guys, the eponymous Frank, and Justin. Justin works on Mercedes-Benz, and did a great job with several items on our Mercedes SUV.

Simply amazing. Had a bad morning waking up to a flat with my two kids in the car. They saw me right away and helped me get in my way. Just freaking awesome.
