Mount Pleasant Cemetery

I walk by here almost everyday sunny days here are beautiful. Summer early nights 5-7pm to walk by across the street is beautiful sight quiet warm and the traffic is comforting to see by the police precinct and Exxon Mobil station and Chestnut Market the convenience store. Nice spot

Such a lovely well maintained cemetery. The grounds, head stones, and mausoleums were beautiful and so much history! The care take was very friendly, informative, and welcoming. A great place for a quiet walk in a busy city. Thank you!

I grew up near this cemetery in the 1950s, and used to walk by it four times a day going to and from school. Magnificent obelisks and mausoleums. The Dryden Mausoleum is bigger than the house I lived in. This is an oasis in an otherwise bleak part of Newark, and worth a visit.

Most beautiful Cemetery ever seen. Very very well maintained and obviously loved dearly. It was like walking through time. It was a very nice surprise to see historic figures Graves. Thomas Edison's son and Mary Stilwell are buried here as well.

Very well cared for and maintained cemetery. Perfect to take a nice relaxing stroll or picnic on a beautiful day to get away from
the noise of the city.

Well maintained, a charming survivor of the old Newark. You can drive or walk through the grounds.

“Peaceful Cemetery”
The cemetery was very peaceful and beautiful with the fall leaves. It was easy to get to and appeared to be very well kept. The cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. I specifically wanted to see Maud Munn, the little girl who died on New Year's Day in 1892

It's been a while since i being around this area as a matter of fact i used to live three houses down from this cemetery.

No one returns phone calls; no one answers the knock on the main door. The cemetery map is linked to a map of Houston, Texas. Horrible customer service.
