I'll point out that RFK's Indianapolis speech immediately following the assassination of Martin Luther Ming, Jr., can be found on YouTube; and Wikipedia has a long article about the delivery of that speech in Indianapolis. Otherwise, I'll simply post some photographs of this small sub-section of the larger park.

A moving Monument especially for those who grew up in the 60s. The grounds of the park were well kept

I am proud of the legacy represented by Martin Luther King, Jr. And I am glad to live in a city where even on a frigid cold day people were spontaneously gathering at this memorial in Indianapolis testifying to the power of the greatest dream of all!

Born and raised in Indy but too young and clueless in the 60's. Moved to MN at age 20. Horrified at George Floyd's murder and the reign of terror that was and could be Trump, I sought this memorial while in town visiting family at Thanksgiving. Felt peace, hopefulness and sadness. Not flashy and a challenge to locate but I highly recommend.

Just a very cool little park space with great meaning - look for a "marker" made of guns advocating peace by the Kennedy wall...

It was very hard to find to get to this place back when I visited it for extra credit for my U.S. History class. However, it was indeed worth it! It was just so cool to be in such a historic place. There is also a little sign of the speech Robert Kennedy spoke at the spot. Very cool!

Very well done sculptures and exceptionally easy to find. The memorial inscriptions, words and sentiments are not be missed. Anyone interested in understanding our culture and our problems as a country will find this educational and very sobering.

This is a historic park. Robert Kennedy was in town to speak.
When he heard that Martin Luther
King had been killed, he asked the citizens of Indianapolis not to
destroy property but instead to do as Dr. King would do and respond peacefully.
Visit this quiet park downtown at 17th and College. Google the events that are personified there
with the statues of Dr.King and
Robert Kennedy reaching across their differences to bring peace.

Fine park with an inspiring message that resonates today, particularly during these trying times. Kennedy's speech should be broadcast on national tv. Perhaps folks would see that we all aren't that much different, that destruction and violence is not the answer.

A meaningful little park that should be visited by all. It is where RLK announced to the city thàt.MLK had just been killed and was the reason this is one of the few cities that reacted peacefully. The speech he gave, the sculptures, and column of guns destroyed are just some of the highlights of this park.

I just saw the 2009 movie called "The Ripple of Hope". I would suggest you watch that show and then go visit the memorial. It would be a important lesson in American history. Two of the finest humans and most important Americans have lived that stood for justice and human rights... Know history or be doomed to repeat it. Peace on earth and goodwill to all people.

The park is a great tribute to two great men. Visiting reminds us of their values and the their loss. It's a good place to talk to your kids about civil rights and civility.

A historical landmark in one place that did not erupt after the assination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. due to 1968 Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy's empathic presence and calming words in Indianapolis.
