The care, compassion, patience support, kindness, & professionalism Lavenia showed was above and beyond. This was the most difficult journey I’ve ever experienced & having their support & knowledge helped me & my family navigate this time. I never would’ve imagined the level of care, compassion & support with a high level of professionalism we’d receive during this time. The staff at Lavenia and Summers is absolutely wonderful. I had to handle the funeral arrangements for the sudden passing of my father and I can't emphasize enough how helpful, responsive and reassuring they were. They guided me through a very difficult process with professionalism and most importantly, care and respect. Many thanks to Mr. Emanuel and Ms. Diane for their kindness. First and foremost, I want to say a BIG Thank You to Mr George Brown. For making my very first visit to Lavenia and Summers an awesome experience. He stood on his word, He got the job done. He was very professional. It was never no pressure. He made me and my husband comfortable doing our time of hurt. Thank you to Lavenia and Summers, and to Mr. Brown , and stuff.

My father was a proud Marine and Lavenias Home for funerals did the best job I have ever experienced! They coordinated everything. They even contacted the veterans cemetery and arranged everything for that ceremonial burial! I was worried that my father was going to look bad and we would have to have a closed casket! But Lavenia’s embalming and protective care made him look awesome!

My mother and father were with this funeral home. They are very attentive to your needs during this difficult time. We were able to better handle the situation knowing they would support us. They helped us with every step of the their going home service. I plan to make this my funeral home when God sends me home.

Everything was absolutely beautiful and handled very professionally. The video tribute George Brown put together from the photos my niece and I emailed him was so beautiful words can't explain how happy this made our family feel 💜 My Mom was able to pre-plan her Funeral which made the process smooth. Thanks to Monique Perkins Mom was able to pick out her casket and the color clothing she wanted to be buried in. Monique Perkins helped us pick out the best package plan for our budget. The staff was great and very professional. They were very patient with me being that I had never planned a funeral before. They made everything easier for me. I loved the way they took care of my Mother. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to make sure everything was the way I wanted it and more. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people. My Mom knew what she wanted in a funeral home, and I see why she said she wanted Lavenia & Summers. I was very pleased with the services provided by Lavenia and Summers,they reached out to me after my husbands services to make sure I was satisfied it meant a lot to my family to see the compassion that was shown to us.

The people here, especially Stephanie, are very accommodating to my needs. My lack of experience and situation of the death of a loved one left me numb, but they helped our family get the best service with the least complications.

Can't say enough about how wonderful they are. The entire staff is so kind and really helped guide us through the process. George is very responsive and took care of everything. Stephanie is so sweet and professional. Due to Covid-19, there are size restrictions for funerals, the livestream really helped to include our extended family during this time. From the initial conversation with Emanuel, to the staff at the church service, to the grave site. It was flawless! Everything was on point and in order. We didn't have to think of anything. It was as if Emanuel and staff was reading our minds. They put in the time and effort to assure we grieved properly. Praise God our father is able to Rest In Peace as he waits for the return of our Lord and a Savior Jesus. Very Professional and highly respectful. The atmosphere in the funeral home their is not like a typical dark and sad funeral home. Instead they've kept it very open and light! It makes me feel so much better when going through my times of loss.
