Eastside Lodge

Honestly was worried about location of this motel as I lived in Portland for nearly 10 years and know it's not the safest but the motel was great. It felt safe and clean and was an easy check in and out. Beds were fairly comfortable even for a plus sized person. I would stay again!

I've visited this place for both business and pleasure. Staff is refreshingly pleasant and a joy to deal with. Rooms are not fancy but immaculately clean. Impressive establishment and beats others above this price point easily.

I don't even look for other hotels in Portland. As a 9 year repeat guest, I love the location, love the price, love the staff interactions. It's a basic, no frills place that is always clean, comfortable, and friendly. We just checked in literally minutes ago for the 15th time. A real gem.

I recently stayed at a motel during my road trip, and it was a decent choice for a night’s rest. The room was clean and had the basic amenities I needed, like a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The motel’s location was convenient, making it easy to find. However, it’s important to note that motels often lack some of the amenities you’d find in higher-end hotels. This one didn’t have a restaurant or room service, and the decor was quite simple. If you’re looking for an affordable and straightforward place to sleep during your travels, this motel could be a reasonable option. It served its purpose for a no-frills, budget-friendly stay.

the front desk fellow made it 5 stars for me before i even go into my room. he was friendly and funny. this is the perfect hotel for me where its basic and not too fancy.

Clean, comfortable, no frills motel. Like others have said it's not luxury accomodations, but the location is convenient and it is a good value. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a club next door that can get loud, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper

Stayed here during Rose City Comic Con weekend, was only a 12 minute walk from the convention center and walking distance to many wonderful food and recreational spots. The customer service at this location wowed me - I was able to check in early at no additional charge, the rooms were clean and really well sound insulated, and having coffee available in the lobby at all times was a huge plus. Was very comfortable and happy with my stay here.

This was as easy and stress free experience as I could hope for. Unexpectedly found myself in need of accommodations. This location popped up and I grabbed it. I work nights, so my “early check in” was actually the end of a VERY long day. The staff was friendly, empathetic, helpful and plain delightful to work with. I found myself in my room and fast asleep in very short order. I woke up to discover my room to be meticulously clean and appointed for my needs. Perfect

I went to Rose City Con and stayed here for the weekend, and it was great! The bed was comfy, the blackout curtains let me nap during the day, and it was only a 10-15 min walk from my room to the convention center. The woman at the front desk who helped us check in and out was also wonderful and helpful! :)

I was very pleasantly surprised, this is a little bit older, but very clean very nice motel, the staff is absolutely outstanding, so accommodating and friendly, the rooms were very very clean, one of the huge things that I really really liked was the free parking, it has gotten very expensive to park at a hotel in Portland, This place has exceptional, easy parking, it is awesome

This place was a pleasant surprise, new owners have put some serious work into the renovation. Great location, clean, friendly staff, and fun neighborhood vibes.

The Eastside Lodge is perfect at what they do.

It’s an affordable, no frills motel geared towards the location-minded traveler on a budget. It’s clean. It’s safe. My room came with a refrigerator and microwave. The showers are hot, and the beds are well kept and comfortable. It’s owned by two of the nicest and most accommodating folks I’ve encountered in my many years as a travel professional.

I travel to Portland fairly regularly and have stayed with the Eastside a couple times. It’s infinitely less hassle than what Air B&B has become, and a much better choice economically. I’ll continue to stay with them whenever I am in Portland.

Don’t go expecting a luxury suit. It’s not that. But if you’d like a quiet place to stay for a short visit while surrounded by a vibrant urban community, the Eastside Lodge is a great choice.

I've stayed here a few times and it's always been a pleasant experience. The rooms do vary in up-to-date-ness the bedspread needs to get changed up soon, because whoa, that pattern hasn't been in style since the 80s. It's a minor quip. The only other really quip or gripe I have is the parking lot is kinda small and the chances of getting a spot near your room can be challenging.

The Wi-Fi is solid. Noise level is low minus the bar/club across the street on a Friday or Saturday night but it doesn't really carry into the complex. Location is great, if wanting to access downtown or the warehouse district. Never any problems with staff. Very short and to the point interaction. Rooms are clean and never has there been a questionable cleanliness incident in my times staying here. Lastly, prices generally are a good value and you could nary find another hotel in Portland with the quality and location that Eastside Lodge offers for a similar price.

Great, inexpensive motel that's centrally located!

Motel is right off I-5 so it's super easy to get to. Lots of parking available and I was able to safely leave my car there overnight.

Check-in and check-out were pretty quick and hassle-free. It took a couple tries to figure out how to open the room lock (swipe the card slowly and deliberately!) but aside from that, we didn't run into any other issues. Staff at the check-in desk were friendly and helpful.

Room was clean and well-furnished, bed was pretty comfortable.

The motel is very centrally located and there were a lot of good restaurants/bars within like a 15-minute walk. If you're in town for a Trailblazers game, Moda Center is a 20-min walk away.

Highly recommend, I would definitely stay here again on a day trip to Portland.

Inexpensive but shockingly beyond expectations. Kind staff and easy check in, clean rooms, air conditioning, sufficient toiletries and a hair dryer. Perfect location near bars, food, entertainment, but it felt safe to leave our car in the parking lot without worrying about theft. Excellent for how much we paid. We'll likely stay here again.

Excellent location which is close to downtown. Affordable price Restaurants are in walking distance excellent staff, rooms are so clean. Definitely worth the stay.
