Woodys Library Restaurant

Woodys is great for a quick lunch. The menu offered a variety of quick bites, perfect for a fast and satisfying meal. The food was good, and the service was prompt, ensuring I didn't have to wait long. Nice place at the arts district, with outdoor patio where you can relax and enjoy your meal.

Good food and great atmosphere. Everyone liked what they had. The clam chowder and yummy BLT with guacamole were big hits. We also had the goat cheese appetizer which was great and pot roast on mashed potatoes with sautéed green beans. My 98 year old grandmother has many memories of this library so it made it a fun meal.

My BBQ sandwich was really good. Everybody else was happy with their meal as well. The brussel sprout appetizer was fine but I will try something else next time. Sitting on the patio was great though almost too hot with the heaters.

The experience you get when going to Woody's is comforting. You are greeted by cheerful servers. The aesthetics of being a former library are calming. The food has a great taste, but is familiar to those that aren't adventurous with their choice in dishes. For those making their first visit to Carmel, Woody's would be my recommendation.

I love that this is actually in an old, retired library! There are two levels to this establishment. The bottom level is a big, open-room bar atmosphere dedicated to the Colts. High top tables and very much a community feel. The upper level is quieter and a more intimate dining area. The decor and dividers in the dining area are old library shelves with books. We came in on the side entrance and you have to choose to go down stairs to the bar area or up stairs to the dining area. I’m not sure if the old main library entrance on the front of the building is open and whether stairs can be avoided there. If someone needs assistance or can’t do stairs this might not be the restaurant for them. I would suggest calling.

Very attentive service, yet I didn’t feel as though we were being pushed out quickly and actually sat chatting after the meal for awhile. But we arrived at one and by the time we were done eating there were plenty of empty tables. A very relaxing lunch for sure.

I had a steak and my husband had the special, a “Cheeseburger” soup and shared my sides. He was delighted with the soup. Definitely made in house and not an open the tin situation. Our friends enjoyed the sliders and a grilled salmon on a bed of salad. Because of some of the ingredients in the salmon dish and his food allergies, changes had to be made and those were accommodated graciously.

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. The menus selection was nice, definitely something for everyone. The waiter, DJ, had great recommendations. Outside seating is nice and not too crowded together. The inside is perfect for a more quiet meal. Highly recommended-

We went to The Library for my Birthday and had a great time! We enjoyed cheese curds as an appetizer which were wonderful! They were very fresh and the perfect combo of crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside! I ordered the bison meatloaf with mashed potatoes and bacon green beans. It was delicious!! Two of my friends ordered the pot roast which I tasted and swear to order next time! I also tasted the blue cheese coleslaw and was amazed. I’m not sure if they make the blue cheese in house, but it’s phenomenal. For dessert we tried the peach crumble (my favorite) crème brûlée (beautifully finished) the cupcake (delish) and the brownie (perfect combo of sweet and salty!)
The atmosphere is eclectic and has a cool vibe, the staff is very Friendly and the service was impeccable!
We went downstairs to Woodys after dinner for a drink. It’s a great local bar with friendly bartenders and fun people!

This place is in beautiful Carmel and it didn’t disappoint. We went during Devour Indy and it was great. The ambience, people, and outside seating was awesome. The food was amazing. We had the wedge salad, it is a must have!!! The bison meatloaf was also great. The staff was super friendly and eager to help. Highly recommended!!!

We arrived just at closing and they were very accommodating. No customer masks required-yes! Our meal was served quickly with a smile. The goat cheese appetizer w toast was perfect. Our pot pie, kettle crusted chicken and pot roast superb. Very unique, actual library, building w a bar downstairs. Walk in n out slow-lots to notice!

We got the ‘Hoosier Pork’ and a wrap with their Brussel sprouts on the side, both of which was amazing!

First time trying this restaurant, the pretzel sticks appetizer was really good, our group ate them before I could take a pic, we tried the grilled cheese florentine, grilled tenderloin, breaded tenderloin and crunchy shrimp. The kettle chip breading for the tenderloin was excellent and the pork was very tender, the blue cheese coleslaw did not have much blue cheese flavor , but was good, great atmosphere sitting on the patio. All meals were good, service was fantastic even on a busy Friday evening. We will go back.

Excellent food. Great ambiance! Is in an actual functioning library. Classic! Had the Bison Meatloaf and I've had bison before but found it too greasy. The bison was not greasy and I'd definitely have it again.

Came back again the next night and on this visit I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was great as well.

So good!! I had a steak with green beans and mashed potatoes and it was delicious. My sister had the steak sliders with fries and it was all delicious! We also had the cookie it was good too! We usually split desert but with the cookie definitely get one for each person though they’re individual size.

Our first visit had a bumpy start, but they addressed it head on. Miriam was lovely and the whole team gave excellent service. The food was yummy. Lots of great selections. We’ll definitely be back!

Ordered a couple appetizers. Because and tots were great. H yummy upscale appetizers. Enjoyed the library atmosphere. Pleasant service.

Really great place to grab a bite to eat and its nice to sit out on the outdoor eating area, which is also heated and has sun shades. Food has been excellent every time I've go there I can personally recommend the mushrooms app they were so good, we ordered a second one with our meal great service and drinks too

Everyone here was really great and welcoming with our kids. The kids menu was extensive and had a lot of add ons, like fruit and cottage cheese. The regular menu and wine list was great too. We sat on the patio and while we were there it was raining on and off and they had to raise and lower the patio windows, which was ample excitement for the kids. Very excited to take them back sometime.

Stopped by here as they offered GF and dairy free options (for my mom). Got the loaded fries (for my dad n I) and they were very good! Our waiter was very kind as well! He offered my mom free dessert of her choice when there was a mess up with our order!

We have been to Woody's many times. We stopped in for a beer and dinner to celebrate a birthday. Woody's was great as usual!!! We got a table in the bar right away and didn't wait long to order. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was great from the bartender to the food servers and it was done with a great attitude and friendly smiles. Great job Woody's!!!
