Freedom Trail Park

There’s something about neighborhood parks - quiet, easily accessible and not too crowded. I got out on a good weather day today and enjoyed a good 1 hour walk around the different trails.

There’s a football field with small bleachers and a variety of different plants, flowers and pathways to appeal to senses of all abilities. And I was so impressed with the set up.

There’s small bridges dotting the park and a kids play area. There’s a couple entrance points so it isn’t confusing if you don’t get through one.

There was limited foliage with the time being December nevertheless it was a breath of fresh air getting out!

Our favorite park in Westfield - I feel like this park is a little secret between all the parents that know about it. It is virtually never busy, the playground has something for just about every age, it is very well maintained and CLEAN, and offers plenty of shade and seating for parents/caregivers. It's a little hidden gem.

Love that the trails are not bogged down by some corporate overlord and are allowed to be free and do as they wish. Such a sacrifice they also make by allowing us to enjoy them as we please.

Nice park! 2 main playgrounds one for kids and another for toddlers, although younger kids can play on both safely. Swing sets for ALL ages, wind chime structure, covered seating. Multiple picnic tables and a walking trail. Large parking lot for many cars, including wheel chair accessible parking.

Beautiful park. Soft ground, great for kids of all ages. We stopped here on our way through the state and had some pizza. Much better than going to a McDonald's play place.

Cute park for sure!! I love going on walks around here, and the rock climbing wall is super neat! They have this thing your can grab onto and spin in circles in the air, which is my favorite addition! Plus they have bench swings for parents to sit at while the kids play! They don't have bathrooms, but it is a picnic and dog friendly spot.

Quiet, perfectly sized park in Westfield. It is somewhat hidden in a neighborhood, but has ample parking and activities for small and big kids. There are lots of places to sit, but not a whole lot of shade, so if it’s sunny wear that sunscreen!

Beautiful park nestled in a safe location in inner Westfield. I've recently moved back and this is truly a hidden gem. Great place to relax and let kids be kids. I will be back to enjoy this beautiful space.

Great park for the family. Grounds are well maintained. Playground equipment is enjoyable for kids.

If you have dogs or kids under the age of 30 these places is great to go to! Great playground and soccer and football fields! My kids loved this place. Surprisingly it has almost no one until like 7:30. I think people are bringing dogs and kids to tire them out before bed but before that it is empty it seems!

Just driving through looking for a park for my kids to play for a few hours. They loved it.

Bringing smiles to all kids faces. Recently just put down new turf, the equipment is relatively new and there is a ramp for all children can enjoy.

Love this spot! On my walks, I make it my "goal line"=3miles. I play PokemonGo and there's a Gym there. There's the Sensory Gardens with really cool playground stuff for young people. Often I'll see families having fun. Good vibes! Yeah. It's a safe little spot.

We are slowly going around to all of the local parks, this one is a really great hidden gem. It has quite a few playground activities that I haven't seen elsewhere. There was hardly anybody there, but I don't know why. Great little park.

This park is a very neat hidden gem. I do not know how I never had discovered this park before. There is no bathroom, but there is a port-o-potty. We will definitely be back

A safe and spacious walking/biking trail. We visited the trail chasing Pokemon. Everyone using the trail is friendly and courteous. Lots of trees and a few highlights to visit. The trail adjoins Old Friends Cemetery Park near the middle of Westfield proper.

This is a great park which is off the beaten path. Many times this park is empty or near empty so its nice and quiet due to its location. Plenty for kids to do and the sensory aspect is very interesting and makes for a fun experience.

Nice park to walk in, play in (3 fields). Great place to take your dog for for a walk. The playground is very nice too. It has sensory stations for the kids.

The area was pleasant and safe. The playground equipment was in excellent repair. There was a short Trail and Prairie restoration sponsored by the Girl Scouts. Well done!
