Columbian Park

We rode the Train and had fun feeding the baby goats. We saw the majestic bald eagle and the otters. The Emu was scary but cool. And the wallabies were staying in the shade cooling off. Goat food is fifty cents a cone and the butterfly garden was very pretty. Had plenty of places to sit and rest. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Still a great park with nice improvements from when I was a kid. A good number of small shelters with plenty of seating for picnics. It was fun to see the train still going. Nice to have water fountains for our dog, too.

As a visitor to the area, I wish it was more obvious where there are public restrooms.

Beautiful area, well kept, great fountain displays, and a stage at the center which is unfortunately under utilized.

School field trip. Small but active and accessible children's zoo, train rides, several different playgrounds, clean. Many generations have memories here

One of the best parks I have seen. Zoo, train, paddle boats, a beautiful ball park, swim park with water slides, and great playgrounds.

Baseball stadium, zoo, playground, pond, walking and biking paths, pokemon go haven, MANY picnic areas.

Definitely the jewel park of lafayette, memorial island is a fantastic memorial to those who served and died for their country from Tippecanoe county

The landscaping is absolutely beautiful! The design, layout and maintenance are outstanding!! What a fabulous job you have done. I enjoy it so very much walking through and seeing ALL the gorgeous plants and flowers!!!!

Nice and cheap park. It has a few animals. 2$ train ride. Beautiful flowers and plants and kids playground. Was in a quick trip to Lafayette but I will come back again to explore it.

I grew up going to Columbia park. I'm 47 now I have memories all the way from 40 yrs ago there. I hope to have many more memories to share

What a wonderful place. The only thing is parking is a little tricky so you may have to walk away. I wish we could have went to the water park but we did not have time. The train ride is super inexpensive I think it was only a couple of bucks and you can see everything from there and then figure out what you want to do

The staff try their best to keep the geese droppings off the walkways. The landscaping is always up to par. Yay!! No more people sleeping on the benches overnight. Thank you!

Lots of different play areas for different ages and lots of space. There is a sand area, swings for bigger kids and babies. Lots of slides and places to climb, even a playground for older kids and teens. There are bathrooms nearby and it is right next to the zoo and water park.

Gorgeous park with wide paved trails, a zoo, water park, playgrounds, and many covered shelters with picnic tables. There are a lot of benches, many near the water features, to sit and enjoy the park. Bathrooms were warm and clean when we were there on a cold, windy Saturday in November.

One of the premier municipal parks in this part of Indiana. Many playgrounds, places to walk and sit, a free (and high quality) zoo, cute little train ride tours.

The zoo and colombian park are one and the same.
As I have said it was extremely pleasant, allowing food trucks there make it easy to catch a quick bite before going home to fix supper.

I love this park and the zoo is in there too. You only pay a $1 for the zoo. There is snow cone that is delicious across the street. This place is great if you are on a budget because you don't have to spend a lot of money. It was remodel and it looks great!

Very nice, clean park. Great for birthday parties or a family get together. Nice pavilions w/picnic tables. The zoo is right next to it. The kids will love the zoo they have quite a bit to see.

Park built in the 1890's and has a rich tradition. So many upgrades and improvements it doesn't seem that old at all. You can see old photos around town and they're amazing. But in it's current iteration, it's a playground for children, a bandstand for concerts, a waterpark for families, a huge pond for water lovers, and a beautiful zoo for everyone. Baby goats, wallabees, butterflies, and eagle, and even penguins live here. It's just amazing. Oh....and a train which is always so fun. This park is just beautiful and is right in the middle of town. If you haven't visited, you should. It's a wonderful time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
