Koji Osakaya Japanese Restaurant

My partner and I visited here for dinner. He had the Chicken Katsu Curry and I had the Chef's Choice Regular Assorted Sushi. For dessert, we shared a fried ice cream.

The food and service was amazing. We're both looking forward to visiting again to try some of the other dishes.

❤Spent 2/14/2024 (Valentine's Day) dinner at Koji Osakaya with my dearest heart - my 12 year old son. Everything was of course lovely! At the end of our amazing meal of yasai gyoza, tsukimono, miso soup, nigiri sushi & ramen, our talented and generous 🙏Sushi Chef suggested we take home one of the beautiful yellow rose flower bouquets from the counter where we were seated. A must visit if you haven't already been; a place for lovers of sushi and/or Japanese culture🍣

We ordered omakase 上sushi and they were good, especially aji nigiri. The chef was kind and brought special appetizers for welcoming us. The atmosphere was authentic and all servers were smiling and helpful. If you’d like to feel real Japanese serve or miss Japan, please visit them. They all super nice and feel like home. I’ll definitely go back there again!

the food and service here is always wonderful! I recommend their tempura (best in town, hands down), katsu curry, and oyako don. Their fish is also very fresh. I recommend trying their chirashi. I like Koji’s because they have a lot of authentic Japanese dishes that you can’t find at other Japanese restaurants around town. Their staff is always very friendly, and welcoming as well!

Sweet little sushi bar with kind service. Prices reflect the fresh ingredients. I had the delux sushi meal and was blown away by the freshness of the bay shrimp in the California roll. The sunomono was one of the best I've had with soy marinated bay shrimp. A nice place for a quick bite before your movie.

A delightfully relaxing corner restaurant. Interesting assortment of exquisite sushi. I found there to be a lot of choices. I very much enjoyed the ingredient list for them. This restaurant seems seemingly advanced in that art. The staff is delightful and friendly.

I got the spicy Tuna donburi and it was some of the freshest fish I've ever had. A little steep on the price, but it was so filling and amazing that I'll definitely come back in the future!

This restaurant has superior service and amazing food. We came in for a take out order, and the staff gave us water and miso soup as we waited. Our food was amazing and such great memories came with all the dishes from a previous trip to Japan. Will come again when back in the Portland area

I came to Portland on a business trip with my Japanese wife, she found the spot. True authentic Japanese food. Very good

BEST SUSHI I'VE HAD. Hands down. I will be back! Try the okonomiyaki (it's like a veggie pancake). Also, how nice to have a spicy tuna roll that has fresh tuna inside, instead of the ground up tuna in most I've tried. Also, if you're dining in, the waitress Taylor is very professional and attentive. Thank you for the delicious food and pleasant dining experience!

This is the home of the best spicy tuna hand roll I’ve eaten, and I’ve eaten plenty. It may be a little misleading to say the atmosphere is 5/5, but the food more than makes up for it. Absolutely delicious across the menu.

Try the Unagi avocado, caterpillar rolls, Alaska and the seaweed salad and many more!

Decadent soups, fresh sushi, and hearty, home tasting curry. Everything tastes authentic, the staff is super friendly, and service was fast.

The best place in Portland to get Zarusoba (Cold Soba). This Japanese restaurant is wonderfully authentic and presented in the Izakaya style. Much better than a standard fusion sushi restaurant. So many choices! The Umejiso Sushu was also great!

Wonderful sushi. The sushi specials were awesome. They have a lot of harder to find fish, much of it from japan. The sea urchin was the highlight, but the salmon belly was a close second. The sake and plume wine options are very good.

The quality of the sushi is great here, and it is priced accordingly. It's a great place for a date, though I typically just meet my wife here for lunch when we're in the area.

Fresh sushi. You can watch it being prepared and they always use quality freshest ingredients. Delicious options. We love coming for lunch! Literally everything on their menu is delicious! It had been our go-to sushi place for the last 10 years!
