Float North

Wrapped under a weighted blanket on a wave-like vibrating table, the 30 min SomaWave therapy guided my energy that was stressed from driving in traffic to a calm, sustainable, steady state. Float North also has float tanks with stars and relaxing massage services.

This place is a gem! Very accommodating, the staff is friendly the facility looks new and clean. The float room was spacious and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It was nice to find this place near my hotel while I was visiting Portland and it is my second favorite way to relax (1st being a massage). Though they have that too! I also tried the Soma Wave massage for the first time and it was quite nice!

I'll tell you what. If you have never been on a float. You are missing out on this phenomenal self care experience.

Babaaaay when I tell you, meditation through the roof, skin glowing, anxiety, pain, stress lifted. I FELT LIKE A WHOLE NEW PERSON!

I love Float North. Anytime I need a reset I go here to relax and help my muscles and spine relax. It’s the best to be in a no gravity situation. I fall asleep every time I float.

The team running the location is very nice, calm and keeps the place super clean and sanitized.

I love the roominess of the float rooms. I never feel claustrophobic at all.

They also offer massage. I experienced a cupping massage for the first time and it was awesome!

I had the opportunity to experience a SomaWave Therapy (60 mins) last week. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was so relaxing! I dosed off a few times. This would be great if you haven't slept well or need an afternoon nap. :) I thought an hour would be too long, but it went by very quickly! It was over before I knew it. I woke up feeling refreshed.
The treatment uses sound healing and vibrations. I'd recommend anyone try this if you're curious. You can add it on to another treatment, or try as a solo experience.

By far one of the best floats I have experienced yet. I felt safe in the room, it was warm, the atmosphere of the entire business was welcoming and comfortable. I highly recommend.

I've been to Float North a few times and the space is so welcoming. It always feels really calm and safe. The workers always leave their customers feeling comfortable and secure. I've only ever floated and love the galaxy lighting in the tanks.

A friend gave me a float and it was a delightful experience! Dana and Ella were welcoming and informative. The private space to shower and float were simple and cozy. Loved the float tank itself, nice that it's tall and has some lighting. Would float again!

I love floats and their facility is one of the best I've been I've ever been. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and they've thought of everything you'd need to have a relaxing experience.

I have had floating 'on my radar' to try for years so I was so happy to meet owner Dana and learn about this place. Just walking into the space is so calming it really facilitates the process if disconnecting from the overwhelming outside world.

Dana told me everything I could ever want to know about what to expect for my first session and the experience was completely sublime!

Pleasantly surprised how fast I was able to get acclimated to the float tank and get completely relaxed. The 60 minute float went by super quick. Looking forward to my next session already!

Iva was great and knew just what would help. They are very skilled and included some trigger point release that reduced the pain I have been experiencing from an injury.

Overall wonderful experience. One of the most relaxing and surreal things I’ve ever experienced. Closest thing to weightlessness aside from going to Space. My host was great. The 60-min block was just enough time. Very clean facility, with just about all the amenities you could need. I plan to be back.

This was a wonderful experience. The float itself was a great combination of calming and rejuvenating, the staff were welcoming and explained every step of the process, and the facilities were beautiful and impeccably clean. I am really looking forward to my next float there!

Float North is incredible. My first appointment was a trifecta and it totally blew my mind. The experience brought me right back to myself and hit a reset I was desperately needing. After the appointment I slept better and felt the impulse to reconnect with my meditation practice.

Since then I signed up for the 3 float introductory package and it has been awesome. By my second float I felt like I was able to really sink in to the deep, magical expanse of this practice. It is truly nourishing and blissful. AND last night after my float I slept for 9 hours - which is a big deal for me.

I highly recommend Float North. The staff is warm and welcoming and seem very invested in your experience. The facility is impeccably designed and sparkly clean. I love it there.

I was so impressed with how beautiful, clean, and organized everything was. It definitely eased my anxiousness. I appreciated the large size of the floating room and having a private space to shower and change. I did have some back issues, but that was more due to challenges being on my back in general. Kudos for providing a lovely space to unwind.

I think this is the best place to float, period end of sentence. Absolutely spotless and clean, you feel like anytime you come to Float North you are the first person ever to use the facility. It is an example to be followed by any float spa, and I’ve floated in multiple places in the country! Dana is awesome and so is her staff.

One float and I am hooked! My only regret is waiting till my 40s for such a relaxing experience. The feeling of weightlessness mixed with true silence gives me that “space like” float that I can only get here. I especially like the tank with the little star lights on the ceiling. An hour session was perfect for me, and the relief I felt afterwards in my neck and back was an extra bonus. I would float here daily if I could. Thanks again for the awesome experience.

Not only is the staff of Float North warm and welcoming but so is the float space. Walking into a float room is like walking into a cocoon of peace. Everything that you could possibly need is set up for you on a bench including: ear plugs, neck support a robe and plenty of towels. You can leave all your worries at the door as you immerse yourself in a blanket of buoyant salt water and drift into a your sense of Zen.
I personally, am so grateful for the convenient location which gives me the opportunity to regularly partake in these services. Regular float sessions helps me keep my stress and anxiety at bay.
Another lovely aspect is the Ready Room, filled with all the amenities you need to leave feeling fresh and put together. having access to a hair dryer, ear swabs, a comb, lotion and more means I don't have to carry it with me which is a huge convivence.
If you ever considered floating I highly recommend Float North.
