We were waiting next door and we saw all the fanfare with the new decorations at what is now a new location for Gong Zheng Bun Store.

Bought a few 小笼包 to take away, was good and got some more. Delicious, but less meat as compared to those at 周家.

Really affordable Xiao long Bao! Had this for lunch and queue was only 5mins long. Really recommend all tourist to come here and try.

Hands down the best bao and dumplings I ate in my life. The dumplings meat is very fatty, the flavour exploding in your mouth. I’m personally not a fan of dumplings with thick layer of bao, but my friend said the flour coating the dumplings were amazing. Overall life changing, must visit

Love this place! Spent a few days in Hualien and you can't go past this place for delicious dumplings and Bao's. One of the most affordable places to eat in Taiwan that I have found! Only 5NTD for a pork bao and they are meaty and delicious. Multiple visits here and worth it every time. Xiao Long Bao's are great too only 3.5NTD each.

Service is good, served with beautiful chilli sauce and vinegar and did I mention that they are cheap?!

Considering how busy this place gets, you don't have to wait long for your order. Popular and efficient!

Always a long line to wait to get the famous meat bao. Obviously, it is worth the wait. They only had the bao available (I wanted to try the steamed dumplings as well). The bao has relative small filling and the filling is not centered. Also the skin of the bao is very thick - thick in a good way. The skin is done perfectly well, the elasticity is specially as compared with most other bao, and the taste is on the sweet side. Even a meat lover like I am like it. The filling is juicy and seasoned just right.

The small bun is priceworthy, only NT5 per piece. I bought 20pcs for my lunch. The bun taste good, with slightly sweetness from pork and veges. By the way, the shop is not allow dine in, have to take away.

We came here following the rave reviews in Google, and we are not dissapointed. The mince meat bao is superb and a must order. The skin is a tad thick but is still manageable. There is a short queue for dinning in, and you will need to order ahead while queuing to shorten the preparation time. You can literally see your order being made at the same time.

The bao comes in individual pieces or basket of ten.
There are a few soups to try and also to wash down with soya milk or red tea.

Insanely value for the extremely delicious dumplings and thick-skinned xiao long bao! NT$3-5 per dumpling/xiao long bao!

Delicious and very affordable buns! Do note that the Xiao long bao on the menu refer to fluffy buns, not the usual xiao long bao from Chinese restaurants with the paper thin skin and soup filling. No dine in seats available though.

You must try their bao and pot sticker, the meat juice taste so flavourful. They don't have many choices on their menu, but the signature dishes are absolutely the must-have. Service is fast and friendly. Place is crowded, but you get to get a table considerably quite fast. A must visit when you travel to Hualian.

Love the Xiao Long Bao and dumplings here. We came here for dinner for 2 nights and ordered atleast 40 XLB and dumplings each time. Service was quick and the staffs were courteous. The food was also super cheap and affordable. Love their red tea soymilk too. Best XLB that I have tasted in Taiwan. Will definitely recommend.

A 'Hua Lien' unique Xiao Long Bao joint. This store offers a variety of buns and usual breakfast items, but dont be deceived by its humble looks. Despite having no english menu and name of the store, their well known specialty of Xiao Long Bao is for real. The tender and juiciness of the pork meat and their unique thicker skin put this dish under a new light.

They sell it perpieces that you can take away or eat on the spot. It is a love in a first bite for both me and my wife.

Highly recommended to get a bite of their Xiao Long Bao. If you are rushed, get it to go!

I usually don’t like Bak Bao but this buns i hella love it, i eat 2 and the next day i went again and buy 4 more buns and still can’t get enough of this buns! I love it! It’s mini like a snack and easy to eat and so flavorful!! If i went back to hua lian again prolly cuz this buns for sure!!

If you go there by train, you need to walk for nearly 20min.
This shop is located in Hualien and famous for their dumpling and steam bun.
The foods here are cheap, one steam bun for NT $5, and there also have some soup and milk tea, black tea...... etc.
But do not go here at weekend, because it is crowded, and you will spend a lot of time waiting for seat.
