Ji'an Qingxiu Temple

Noryosai is a traditional Japanese event that literally means 'escaping from the summer heat and enjoying the coolness.' This event was being held at Jian Temple when I visited in August. This place is intended to allow people to enjoy cultural heritage rather than serving as a religious spot.

The most well preserved Japanese shrine in East Taiwan. There are 88 Buddhism statues which represent the famous Shikoku pilgrimage. You will find great pleasure collecting all 88 stamps representing the statues.

Traditional Japanese kind third-rates historic site. Need to buy ticket. Free parking lot nearby. Really worth to take a walk and take some photos. Also recommended for Pokémon Go players.

A mini Shinto shrine used by Japanese immigrants during the occupation of Taiwan. The surrounding sites include farms and beautiful waterways built by Japanese. The most interesting thing about this shrine might be the secret photos displayed on an obscure wall in back.

So much detail. You are able to walk around and explore at your leisure.

The place was smaller than I thought, but it preserved the details of architecture from the Japanese time! Japanese snacks and drinks can also be found, kimonos are also available for rental if you want to really feel the vibe and take pics!

The shrine is historic and maintained well. Beautiful and filled with lots of valuable history photos.

Japanese style Buddhist Temple.

Peaceful place to be. Follow the steps to wash hands and mouth before entering the shrine. Instruction is written. Just a sign of respect, not necessarily religious.

Visiting this and other Buddhist Shrines was an incredible experience. So many beautiful things to see, the art work, the architecture and learning about the beliefs of the people.

It’s a 3 first-tier historic site. It’s pretty Japanese style even if It’s not a huge place.

Nice place to learn a piece of history here with Japanese and this Town.

Good place to know the history about these place. Ticket is not high price.
