Yushan Trailhead

I'm thrilled! This marks my inaugural journey to the lofty peaks of Yushan, and the natural wonders I've encountered are simply breathtaking. Exploring this terrain has introduced me to a myriad of unique trees and landscapes, enriching my experience in ways I never imagined.

Some fantastic views in the area, a choice of mountains to climb and various trails to choose from. There is a taxi service for the trail heads so write the number down. That last couple of miles to your car can sometimes be the hardest.
Well worth the trek.

Wow amazing place, so pristine, beautiful. Enjoyed every step and every angle of this park. Be mindful not to over pack you will feel ever Kg in your body!

1. To summit at 13,000 feet, if at all possible spend a day or two above 9,000-10,000 before you make the attempt.
2. If you stay at Paiyun Lodge, on the trail just 2km from Yushan main peak, almost everyone gets up at 2am to noisily rearrange their packs next to your bunk. DongPu lodge is farther away, out near the main road, but early risers go to another room and are much quieter. And their bunk beds are MUCH cozier - fluffy comforters are included.
3. DongPu Lodge vans can take you 3km from the main road to Yushan trailhead for 100 NT$ (about $3.50 US). But you can easily walk.
4. There are other trails besides the one to Yushan, no permits required. We did a fun out and back all the way to "real" Deer Toe mountain, past the national observatory. (Look for an obscure hole in the underbrush to the left of the park boundary sign at coords 23.468482,120.873358.)

Great but make sure you go on a day where it is not raining ..

人生要來爬一次的台灣🇹🇼第一高峰”玉山”，抽到排雲山莊的床位是一件不容易的事情，二樓有好幾間上下通鋪房，每間容納人數不一共有116個床位，抽中日期碰巧在4/3大地震後ㄧ個禮拜，做好防範措施及安全帽⛑避免落石造成頭部的傷害，從塔塔加登山口到排雲山莊共8.5公里，走到5公里處開始下雨🌧起大霧雨衣雨褲派上用場，登山做好保暖很重要避免高山症找到你，首次來挑戰玉山主峰3952m、北峰3858m（玉山氣象站)是登山者所嚮往的⛰，且玉山主峰更是國內外熱門登山路線，可以看到許多外國人也來參與其中，此次天氣不佳都拍到白牆，要等幾年後再回來補考😊

登玉山及玉山群峰的大門(必須先申請入園及入山證)
玉山步道由林道、山徑、碎石路、棧橋等組成，
一邊行走，一邊欣賞風景，也要小心安全，較危險的路段，還請盡快通過
可由排雲登山服務中心搭乘接駁車過來，也能慢慢步行至玉山登山口

12/26 06:50~16:00, 9h10m, 21km.
玉山登山口<->玉山主峰, 單日來回不過夜.
非假日單攻很好申請，前五日查好天氣即可。
玉山單攻參考行程：
凌晨 2:10~6:10 新竹->上東埔，因為台21草坪頭管制站通行時間為07:00~17:30，所以多花40分鐘繞路走台18，搭第一班6:30的接駁車(可少走3km柏油路)，6:45抵達登山口，車資100付現附發票。
6:50~9:40 登山口->排雲山莊(8.5km)，在排雲山莊曬曬太陽，補充能量棒與電解質，10:00 出發前往主峰。
10:00~12:00 排雲山莊->主峰(2.4km)，最後400公尺感覺使不上力，停下來休息幾次，也才注意到身旁持續掉落著碎冰，喀啦喀啦地響著。
風口至主峰路面的冰雖未完全融化，但已被前行山友用冰爪踩碎，因此雖然只穿野跑鞋，尚能抓著鐵鍊緩步通行，防水手套必備，可保護雙手不被凍傷，登山杖暫且收至野跑包兩側，保持雙手靈活度。
12:30~16:00 主峰->登山口(10.9km)，同樣地在排雲山莊稍作休息並補充能量棒，下山途中很幸運地看見帝雉在步道附近覓食。
行進間衣物：遮陽帽、羊毛頭巾、薄羊毛長袖上衣、薄羊毛內搭褲、羊毛襪、透氣長褲、防水透氣風衣、防水手套、野跑鞋。
輕羽絨背心放背包，山頂拍照穿著保暖，行進間太熱穿不住。
補給：1500cc水、5支能量棒(吃4支)、乾燥飯(備用沒吃)。
其他：頭燈、醫藥包、急救毯、登山杖。
如果有戴帶太陽應該會更好，被山上的紫外線以及冰塊反射的亮度照得眼睛有點不舒服。

塔塔加登山口（玉山登山口-塔塔加鞍部）(2.7K) →前峰登山口(0.8K) →玉山前峰(6.6K) →排雲山莊
玉山登山口位於溪林道2.8公里處，海拔2,610公尺，跨越臺灣西南兩區分水嶺上的鞍部，北邊溪澗為沙里仙溪上源，於東埔匯入陳有蘭溪；南邊山谷為楠梓仙溪，在旗山以南匯入高屏溪，垂直向下俯視，前1公里可見貼於玉山步道山壁蜿蜒而下的楠梓林道，通往楠梓仙溪溪畔的「楠溪保育研究站」，為園區內楠梓仙溪河谷生態秘境，之後溪流持續往南延伸，連接梅蘭林道，直到海拔高度約1,730 公尺的梅蘭鞍部。(參考官網)
