YUYUPAS Cultural Park

A moderately sized park which probably can be covered by foot under an hour, the rest of the time dedicated to the various attractions within - a performance theatre, coffee and mochi cafe, tea tasting house, dining area, gift store and various camera friendly spots. Entrance ticket is about NTD300 per pax, a friendly and humorous guide will provide an overview of the park near the entrance before letting you explore on your own. There is a performance (songs and dance) scheduled at 1130H - rather entertaining and refreshing. The tea house allows free tasting of various types of in-house alishan tea, with detailed description about each's preparation methods and properties. Various photo-taking spots with interesting architecture/structures amidst the sakura and tea plantation backdrop. Overall a pleasant experience! 😊

Excellent cultural Village to learn about Taiwanese minorities. Love the coffee and dried pork slices. Highlight for me is the variety of flora.

Definitely a must visit if you are coming to Alishan! This cultural village gives you a deeper understanding of the native people, the tribe of Zhou People! There’s also a local dance of the famous Alishan song!! We definitely achieved the pinnacle of Alishan at this Cultural Park!

This place is at a beautiful tea farm setting with gardens and sculptures! Their lunch offers fresh local vegetable and the tea room service as well as the oolong tea quality is top notch! The kids really enjoy the show.

A show by the Taiwan aboriginals Zhou Shi. The presenter said that they didn’t apply for government subsidies during Covid period even thou they are entitled to it. They believe in earning their own keep. Kudos to them!

We had a guide leading us straight to the show starting at 2pm, on our way there he also introduced the local plants and fruits. The show was performed by the staff who lead us, the brista who made us coffee, the tea lady and boy minding the gift store and many more. Very friendly and approachable. The park is beautiful.

Commendable efforts by the youths of indigenous people in Alishan to keep their traditions alive, and bring their people back to the homeland, by creating a tourism business model based on their heritage. They deserve our support. MUST buy is wasabi noodles. We just cooked it today and it’s phenomenal! 😋😋

Amazing experience overall...The tea farms are great, the cultural tribal performance was worth a watch and the tea tasting is also a good experience.

A must go place in Mt. Alishan. Coffee is tasty and gorgeous!

A place to meet with the Tsou people, one of the many indigenous groups of Taiwan. Nice display of their culture including dance shows ( which I missed). Impressive tea ceremony and opportunity to taste different types of tea which they grow and harvest there.
