北投平埔族巴賽語:巫女之地，因為地熱谷火山噴出白煙，是巫女之故。北投捷運站是台北市重要轉運車站，要去陽明山230公車，小9到竹子湖，捷運往關渡，淡水。支線往新北投，往101大樓象山，有Ubike，北投市場有台灣美食，新北投是溫泉渡假休閒區，陽明山是台北市後花園，北投是很有人文景觀之地。
