One of my favorite night market! Traditional style but the food was incredible. For a sweet dessert, you have to try the peanut shaved ice, the peanut flavor was so fragrant and not too sweet. The dingbiancuo (potside scrapings, go to stall next to the temple) was unique, never had it before but was similar to thick soups. Highly recommend the crab thick soup (#5 stall) and the braised pork rice at the front of the night market, best crab thick soup I’ve had. Would also recommend the charcoal grilled oyster pancake, oysters were small and tender and fresh, flavor was great. The tempura fried fish paste (#16) was great but can be found at many other places so not as unique. The fried chicken roll tasted great (#15) but was a bit oily for me. The one bite sausage (#43 stall) is a must try! The sausage were the best I’ve ever had and make sure to eat it with the fresh piece of garlic.

If it’s super crowded, expect to spend 30-45 minutes waiting in line for food. I would start at the 50 years breakfast sandwich shop by the temple by taking a ticket. Then go get some oyster noodles for $50 NTD a few booths down on the same side.

You’ll spend $10 USD or less for a satisfying meal at the night market. There are drinks and other snacks as well but those are the two spots I would definitely hit up if you’re in the area.

Nice place to have a mid night snack or dinner, you can find nice food and drinks even some ice. The price for seafood are about average and the taste is good.
You can arrive to this night market by train or bus. The train stop will be Sankeng station, there will be a pathway leading towards the night market place.
Highly recommend going to this place.

Wonderful Night market for an array of street food. Knowing that Anthony Bourdain went to have food there makes it even more special.
THE ONE BITE SAUSAGE IS EVERYTHING 🥹

I say this without any sarcasm - this “Nutritious Sandwich” is one of the best things I have ever eaten. Fried bread, cut open and stuffed with vegetables and some marinated egg, smothered with sweet mayo. Do. Not. Miss this.

I love all the food we bought---and we tried A LOT! So go there with an empty stomach and be adventurous but bring your meds for cholesterol and sugar. 😅

One of the best night markets I've been to here! It's huge and has so many food selections. Lively, lots of shopping stalls and lots of carnival games.

Most of the signs have English on them so great for tourists. One notable stall is no. 39 PaoPao Bing. We got the passion fruit and it was so soft and flavourful. My friend has the oyster omlete as well, and reported that the seafood was very fresh.

A day and night market really, considering how many stalls were open in the early afternoon whenever we visited. It’s a street food market I’ve been visiting with my family since early childhood. It’s not changed compared to two decades ago, albeit slightly cleaner and less crowded, as they’ve banned vendors from piling up in the middle of the walkway.

The traditional way of eating right off the vendor’s kitchen table was something worthwhile experiencing while in Taiwan. You feel thrust amongst the chaos, a mixture of smells and the approachable (albeit sometimes overly friendly) people around you. And even if you are not interested in trying any of the foods, just taking a stroll can make you feel like walking on a film set.

Great Night Market. Don't bother with Shilin or Raohe Street which are just tourist traps, head a little out of Taipei to this lovely, traditional market with authentic food. It's easy to get to with public transport and you get to visit a seaside port too.

One of the very crowded night markets in town. Luckily the government has made it easier to locate various food stores by adding signs above shops. Food were all made upon ordering and the atmosphere is the best. Game stores are also available for you to win either dolls or sausages as you wish lol

Well worth a visit for culinary adventure. Among the highlights: Taiwanese fried sandwich (think Taiwan version of croque monsieur or monte cristo), crab soup with glutinous rice, sweet tofu with red bean for dessert. TIP: If traveling party is large, come after noon to beat the large crowds.

Amazing and authentic night market. Highly recommend the soups like 螃蟹羹 (Crab soup) and 紅燒鰻魚羹 (Eel soup) which cannot be found in other areas like Taipei. Affordable prices and friendly store owners make it a must visit night market.

Overwhelmed by the food options. There are a lot of local famous dishes to try when you are there. I tried the Tofu, steamed rice topped braised pork. Delicious and affordable.

Incredibly diverse food options and a great way to experience Taiwanese culture. Take a stroll to see all of your options- make sure you finish with pao pao bing- so cooling and refreshing! Pictured is the passion fruit flavor.

Keelung Night market is also known as Miaokou Night Market. It is believed that this night market started with a few stalls in front of the Danji Temple. There is so much food to binge here. Among my favourite No16 Tempura Fish Paste, No 66 Oil and Taro Cake. A huge slab of oil cake are cut into smaller pieces and served with fried shallots. It pretty tasty although looks bland. Bite size sausage from stall 43 and crispy fried crabs from stall 70 are all delicious. The roast pork there is very crispy and come in different flavours. Don't forget to try the taro balls and soy bean from one of the shops there. The soy bean is silky smooth. One night is just not enough to try all the food there. Lu Rou Fun is also a must try!

Very nice night market that have the vibes of night scene. All the paddlers are busy serving to patrons that came from around the world. As I was walking, I have hear different languages spoken.

The food are definitely great and they do sell in small portion that is the most suitable for shop hopping and munching away the outstanding variety of food.

There is only one down point and that is, the yellow lantern on top of the shops only operate on weekend. Is kind of a let down as we are nor able to take the well know lantern of kee Lung night market.

Food definitely are top notch.

This place is like the largest, busiest night market in Taiwan and my most favourite. There are literally thousand of food stall and ten thousand peoole, yet you never have to wait in line for too long until being served. The small bite taiwanese sausage, roasted duck roti is the highlight of my experience! Also, you should bring another person with you to share the food since there are soooo many things to try.

Lots of tasty snacks and exotic food. Lots of people, so u will have to line up to get your favorite food. But most foods are very reasonably priced and you don't want to stuff yourself with your first sighting of your favorite dishes. Leave some room for later.
