It's just a small hike from the parking lot, with nice views of the other side of the mountain and Jiufen. Definitely worth a visit.

Awesome place the Giant rock that looks like an elephant. And the atmosphere there is cool. Please be careful during winter and rainy season the soil becomes very slippery. I have seen people falling during climbing. Wearing good shoes will be protective measure but it’s not confirmed that you will not slip.

Taking local transportation from Taipei to 深澳岬角 wouldn't be a route I suggest to others, as I experienced it for myself. You can get lost and wait a significantly long time for the public transportation to come by. Skip the hassle and either go with a friend, a tour, or rent a vehicle.

As for 深澳岬角 itself, it was absolutely amazing. The formation of the entire area was simply stunning, and the elephant trunk was a delight to see. While there were quite a bit of people, it didn't feel overly packed while I was there. The place felt like a huge playground where you can just run around, climb, and have a grand time.

I really liked how a few of the rocks were formed as if they were chairs. I sat on one of them and it wasn't uncomfortably at all. It looked like a cloud, but in rock format, which was amusing.

This place is definitely something I would recommend for others to check out, as it's quite memorable.

It must be visited and seen! It's a very wonderful place! In the coast you can finde so much different coral fragments and clam and snail shells! Here are very good perspectives for taking photos. It's also a good place for a picnic too! All the rock formations are so amazing! Here are the fun for kids and adults!

This was one of the coolest natural environments that I've been to in Taiwan. We got there around 10, which was before most of the tourists which added to the serenity of the beautiful views of both the rock itself and the surrounding rock formations. I liked this much more than Queen's head.

Beautiful nature of wonder. Entrance is inside a harbor and weekday parking is easy. Rocky coastline walk so wear a comfortable shoes. Whole trip takes about 30 min. Seafood restaurants are plenty inside the harbor.

It was a little bit of a climb over some rocks but well worth it. The formation is beautiful. Some trash on the rocks has washed up but otherwise a nice little hike.

Never regret coming to see this stunning rock formation that look like an elephant. Really an effort made to reach this site.
The driver dropped us at a car park next to a rocky beach. We have to track on the rocks on the beach which can be slippery n dangerous, then climbing up some slope muddy before we reach the cliff. Will be helpful to wear a pair of non slip walking shoes when come here.

What a beautiful place, the rocks are so cool they look like morel mushrooms! The rock really looks like an elephant trunk. Very serene. Parking only costs 30.

A place with special terrain. Although it takes some time and effort to get there. He is a magical natural landscape well worth a visit!

A beautiful hike!

Make sure you wear cotton clothes, comfy shoes and sunscreen as it gets really hot in the summer! What you'll learn about visiting Taiwan is that everything you work hard for is worth it in the end! the hike was a little bit difficult but seeing the view made it all worth it! The same with the food here in Taiwan - you have to line up for all their best restaurants and cuisines! It really does make your trip more convenient if you get your own Taxi tour - they're really friendly and even takes photos for you and your family or loved ones!

The North and Northeast Coastlines of Taiwan are interspersed with lots of small but surprisingly beautiful spots. This Elephant Rock is one of the bests among them, truly a perfect place to see the magical creativity of Nature.

Relaxing place with very good view. The way to elephant trunk might be challenging for child and elders, needs to walk up and down on rocks. Car parking costs 30 NTD per hour. Overall it is a scenic spot to come and is recommended.

The road leading up to the entrance, you will see the cliff face that looks like an red Indian chief.

The path to the Elephant trunk is slippery and uneven, so wearing comfortable shoes would help.

Do be careful as there are no barriers along the cliff side. Tourists have fallen to their death before.

From Keelung, take bus #1051 or #791 for NT30, near the maritime plaza. Duration is less than an hour. That are not signage so once you alight at Shen 'ao power plant. Cross the road and turn left. Walk about 50 meters and turn right in the road. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the path leading to Elephant Rock.

Nice place to visit on the coast, the rock formations are incredible. Some people kayak to get a view from the ocean but the view is good enough if you go by land. Just beware that it requires climbing a strap slow with big rocks, so if you have any physical disability or if you are traveling with older people or small kids it might be hard to reach.

I love the nature and love how clean it is to be there. The elephant trunk rock is actually quite big than the one I saw in photo. Be careful, if there are many people there it will be pretty hard to climb to the rock. You have to wait several minutes just to get the perfect shot.

After walking along the line of colorful boats at Shen'ao Fishing Port (深澳漁港), you will reach the entrance of the path to the elephant’s nose. The walk is on strange rocks, and it can be a little bit of a climb. However, the view of the ocean is wonderful, and when you make it to the elephant’s nose at the end, you will be grateful for the beautiful scenery.
