Golden Waterfall

This striking waterfall boasts a fascinating sight - two distinct colors merging as it flows towards the sea! However, due to past mining activities, the water quality has been impacted. While a short visit to admire the unique view is worth it, it's important to avoid prolonged exposure or swimming. Remember, responsible tourism means protecting ourselves and the environment.

Highly advise going, but watch your times. Can get very crowded

This fall is near the famous gold mine in northern Taiwan so the reddish brown color fall is called golden fall!

One of the best place that is very easy to access by public transportation just go early so that you can climb on top instead in the tourist area only.

that's one of epic spots on my private car tours around greater Taipei area. it's adjacent to Golden Museum which used to be Gold Mining Factory during Japanese rule in Taiwan.

One of the places that is included in your day tours (klook being one of the companies u can book from), the golden waterfall got its name from the orange-golden hue due to its past of iron ore mining (mining facilities are now abandoned). Very beautiful and pretty in its own, definitely a must visit if you are passing by jiufen/shifen/jinguashi. The mountainous roads make driving up a challenge but it is well managed by the tour bus drivers.

A very beautiful waterfall. One of the must go place when you travel to Taiwan. You can see the beauty of the natural. A nice place for photo taking.

It's good, if you visit golden waterfall you should come and visit the tea pot mountain which is just a kilometers ahead.

Amazing, unique work of nature.
You can take a tour bus or public transport to get there. It's along a main highway, so walking and picture taking is not a problem. A bit of a travel if coming from the metro, but worth the trip!

Very beautiful waterfall. If you witness it in a strong windy day, you can see the upper part of the waterfall flowing opposite way. This is very cool.

Beautiful place. Almost 35 km from Taipe city. We can take train or bus to reach nearest place called Rueifang train station. We can take bus or taxi to reach this place. Please check weather conditions before visiting specially in rainy season.kindly make necessary arrangements like umbrellas and other things prior to visit.

A waterfall nestled alongside the roadside, its allure magnified by a captivating backstory. Named the "Golden Waterfall," it derives its moniker from the unique narrative it weaves. This enchanting cascade, having journeyed through regions rich in mineral content, takes on a subtle orange hue. As its waters flow towards the sea, they impart a golden tinge to the ocean's surface, ultimately contributing to the mesmerizing phenomenon known as the Yin Yang Sea.

Good view of the waterfall form near about 3 meters aways from view point, better to visit early in the day time to have a pleasent view as their is no shulter to take rest in hot summer.

We came during summer season so the waterfall only have some water flowing. According to our tour guide, there will be more water flowing down in November.

Really nice place especially when sunlight hits the Waterfall at the right times! It really looks golden at the correct moments! But it's not a very big Waterfall & it's a standalone spot with no shops or any f&b kiosks nearby! It's also quite far away from the town of Jiufen. There's nothing else around the waterfall's vicinity after your visit which should not last very long. Then it's either you return to town or head to another spot which may be quite far away so extra time needs to be factored into this visit. Remember to pack some food &/or drinks when headed there.
