Service location food facilities were excellent. Everything is taken care of including having towels available at the pools and spa.

The night buffet was very good quality but the zen garden restaurant chefs menu was even better.

The hotel also had a lot of free activities for guests which included hiking tour and craft activities . There's a free library for guests with lots and lots of books on lend which was nice.

Overall had a enjoyable and relaxing stay. I would.add that there's a few new hotels that's been built further up the hill so anyone who is staying in the mountain side might not have an unobstructed view. Pictures of the room are of the city view rooms

Really enjoyed our family break there, room was great with hot spring bath ♨ we also enjoyed the games rooms 🤩 - lots of fun playing table football, cards, table tennis, pool, there's a gym too pack your workout and swim gear 🏋 and kids sand pit, and play areas, and outside pools. Highly recommend this hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beautiful architecture and atmosphere. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and peaceful. My kids and I love the hot spring and pool options. Great food at the restaurant also. Will be back.

Royal hotel series has been my family trip all time hotel favorite go to place. the Royal hotels offer all the amenities from individual to the whole family with different ages. from this, you can see the company and staff very well train to take care of their customers. whenever I took my family to hotel Royal, they have all-in exclusive amenities such as resting area, read room, game room, outdoor/indoor pool, restaurants are all in the same hotel, so I don't have to worry about stuck with my family the whole time in the room.

the restaurant are reservation only, so you will need to book ahead and schedule and the foods will be prep based off your timing. the restaurant has the high ceiling windows allow much brighter and comfortable place to sit in.

the hotel is very comfortable to sleep in, and Japanese Tatami provide the aroma and comfort that are very un-rear in another other hotel in Taiwan.

in general, I am not disappointed with any Hotel Royal series, but the Chiao Hsi/Yi-Lan is probably the best compare to the other Hotel Royal series. if you are considering bring the whole families, I highly recommended.

P.S - this is one of the best, yet the pricing is still too high in my opinion.

What an amazing place to stay, great service, high quality buffet. You can even continue to enjoy majority facilities after checking out your room.

Lots of fun things to do, great service. I liked every employee I talked to and enjoyed the morning hike to the waterfall with the tour guides.

Excellent hotel! Very clean. The rooms are excellent and you can tell a lot of thought went into making your experience the best. The pool area is amazing and the hot springs are superb. The hotel building itself looks amazing. It looks much better than the 台東 one. The rooms are more japanese style and the best is very comfortable! And the buffet is pretty good as well. The kids play area is very nice, they hav billiards, Nintendo switch, air hockey, and a huge sand pit, along with other fun stuff. They also have a nightly show like music, or Chinese opera.

I am a very particular and picky individual and I have to say this hotel has far exceeded my expectations. The resort was drop dead gorgeous with a Japanese Zen type of feel. I felt so relaxed the moment I arrived there. The facility had a variety of hot pools from Vanilla to Herbal Tea pools. They even had a pool with fish that eat the dead skin cells off your feet (it was an interesting experience). After my spa/pool experience, I had dinner at their buffet. They had a wide selection of options but most importantly, all of the food was well executed. I could easily say this was one of the best buffets I’ve had. The resort was amazing and the Japanese style room I’m booked was beautiful BUT WHAT I WAS MOST IMPRESSED WITH AT THIS RESORT WAS THEIR IMPECCABLE SERVICE! Their staff was so well trained and treated me and my family so well. They walk us to different facilities on the property. They walk us to our room. They load up all of our luggage so quickly and they just know what to do with such professionalism. They really go the extra mile. Most of the staff spoke Mandarin and I only speak English, however they located staff that spoke English just for me and helped me through out my stay. At dinner, my 10-month couldn’t eat anything in the buffet other than fruit, however the staff went to the back and a separate porridge with no salt for my daughter. I LOVE THEIR SERVICE AND ILL DEFINITELY BE BACK.

We enjoyed the Japanese style room and slept on tatami. Very comfortable bedding. The view from the balcony is great and relaxing. Hotel organized activities like hiking and matcha cake making were fun. The best treat was the buffet. How can you taste all the dishes you like? So many choices and delicious. The Spa was nicely situated and equipped.

Highly recommended for anyone who's looking for a relaxing getaway with good food and good service in a clean environment, this is the place!

Absolutely loved our stay. From making our reservation to disembarking the shuttle at the train station on our last day, we were greeted only with the utmost respect, generosity, and kindness. The premises and facilities are beautiful, and the services, amenities, and events planned (including arranged trips) were so fun and memorable. The food (buffet, bar, restaurant) was amazing and all of the pools/springs were so relaxing. Returning to our room was so nice too - everything was super clean and ready for us to enjoy. Definitely would recommend to friends and family! Thank you!

An outstanding hotel! We experienced great service from the time the shuttle bus picked us up from Taipei Main Station all the way through our stay. The outdoor spa was so relaxing with great views. The games room had plenty of options which all of my group enjoyed. Every member of staff was helpful and accommodating. The bed was really comfortable and I had the best night’s sleep in a long time

I stayed with my family and very enjoy all of facilities and service from hotel staff. I made a booking for high floor nice view room. The view is awesome and beautiful. Enjoying the hot spring in the room and bed is cozy. I had a nice deep sleeping. Many activities you can enjoy with your children to spend happy time. I will recommend to everyone stay here for weekend or holiday. I also believe that I will back again.

I had a great experience. There are some unforgettable memories, like making pineapple cake, the professional service and the relaxing outdoor facilities. Our room has beautiful scenery, and each room also has a spa pool. But I have one suggestion to improve. The room is too small. The living room and bedroom are at the same place. All in all, I really recommend to make a reservation of shuttle bus at anytime instead of driving a car by yourself. I think it is a wonderful place to take your family to enjoy yourselves.

2nd stay after 10 years - still as good as ever. Service is top-notched. Both indoor and outdoor spas are super relaxing. Had the Japanese set dinner and buffet breakfast - both well done and great service (even if breakfast is a bit of a zoo). Tatami super comfy and had a restful night. Definitely one of the best hotel in Taiwan and well worth the price.

We had a camping-RV plus hotel stay. It was a pleasant stay! The weather was gloomy and slightly chilly. It was a perfect weather for a hot spring visit. We mostly stayed in the hotel complex/camp ground.
This hotel has abundant entertainment for guests. The atmosphere of the facility is relaxing and fun for family with young kids. Our kid enjoyed playing croquet and table tennis with us. It even has a couple arcade machine for kids to try (complementary tokens provided by the spa concierge desk). The dinner in Zen Garden was pleasant. It is recommended to book your meal with the restaurant few weeks ahead of your stay.

Things we love: open air spa facilities, overall cleanliness, hotel amenities, customer service - everything is top-notch and handled with attention and care. The building itself may be old but maintained very very well. The mattress and bedding is sooo good! I honestly had the BEST sleep of my life. Every one in my family gave a review of 10/10. We will definitely come back again.

Actually I want to give 4.5 stars. The missed half one is the Japanese style room. I really don't like the Japanese style room. Other than the room, the other are great. The staff are nice and kind. The facilities are great. The room is clean and neat. They also provide several snacks with local flavor. Also, every room has the hot spring so you can enjoy the hot spring in your room.

The overall experience was very enjoyable. A few improvements here. The buffet restaurant was quite crowded. Several parents with their babies and strollers were arranged on the walkway. This is potential hazard since people walking by with full plate can have accident. The chairs arranged for the night performance at the lobby was not very comfortable. All in all, your employee were courtesy and polite. Room is clean and nice. One more suggestion here. The toilet room needs ventilation. It did not smell well after use.

So wonderful...the service is very excellent...my husband and me spent all 2 days in the hotel and enjoy all of facilities...the buffet for breakfast and dinner are also so great! all dishes are so delicious! We enjoy all the time and miss everything we have experienced there! We even start planning our next trip to Hotel Royal Chiaosi!
