Chuang-Tang Spring Hotel Flagship

Tarvelled with 2 children and my parent. The hotel is very family oriented, where there are enough facilities to keep the children busy, both the hot spring area and indoor play ground area. Furthermore, the idea of serving breakfast/brunch until 1300pm and room check out at 1100am means there is no rush in the morning, you can either go to the hot spring or take your child to playground or both, then enjoy meal afterwards.

The room is also very spacious and clean, there is also a big bath tub in the room if you prefer private hot spring.

Location is between train station and bus interchange, both are walking distance.

Would definitely visit again.

Location is very near Jiaoxi Train station - 5 minutes walk. It is also near the Bus transfer station. Staff can pick you up. There are U Buses and Kamalan buses going to Jiaoxi from the airport terminal and Taipei respectively. Good base to explore Jiaoxi, Toucheng, Yilan and Luodong.

The breakfast buffet spread has a range of local and international dishes with a DIY orange juice machine, huge cheese tub, honeycomb, soup noodles station and ice cream. The staff is very attentive and prompt. The menu is the same every day but the spread is good for a few days stay.

There is a large children's playground with giant slides with warm water. Colours a bit faded due to outdoor weathering but still well maintained. There is a jacuzzi and water pipes massage section which was really good, and more than 15 flavoured hot and cold spring pools, fish doctor pool as well as sauna and flavoured steam rooms. The herbal and peppermint steam rooms were quite an experience!

Yukata, towels and slippers provided for adults and children hotel guests. Bring your own swim suit and swim caps. Non hotel guests can pay to use these facilities too and there are staff on duty to ensure safety. No photography in general for privacy. A private bathtub with hot spring water is also available in the room.

Staff goes around regularly to top up the pools with essential oil and pouring actual red wine into the pools - Red wine, Bubblegum, Sulphur, Coffee, Lemongrass, Rose, Lavender, Milk, Charcoal, Aloe Vera, Oolong tea, original hot spring, normal temperature and 2 cold pools.

On top of these, there are electric cars, PS racing, Nintendo Switch games and ball pit play areas for children.

We don't have any previous experience living in spring hotel, and this hotel did a great job in setting a high bar with it!

The room is big, and the bathroom is superb with a big bathtub which is big enough for our entire family to ensure moment there! The hotel is easy to access, and filled with loads of entertainments for both adults (PS5/ switch) and kids. The swimming pool and many choices of hot springs is our all time favorite. The restaurant is located on the 2/f and offered wide range of food for breakfast, you can even pick your favorite ice-cream and beer!

There are only 2 downsides of the hotel - you have to pick up your breakfast coupons at lobby every night for the following days. Yes you will receive email/ message from the front desk to remind you picking them up, but to me, i think it's a bit silly not sending the guests directly. Second, we requested a 2 single bed room, but the single bed is really a bit tight. And what worries us most is the broken electrical socket (you can actually see the exposed copper wires) under the small desk between the 2 beds.

Overall, I will still recommend the hotel to anyone travel with kids. Definitely will revisit again.

It was an enjoyable one night stay. One more night would be perfect. We went to the hotel hot spring and water spray massage facilities to relax; a very nice relaxing time for us. For the PS5 and switch game, you need to book in advance for the slot.

Visited the hot Springs only and dud not stay in the hotel. Enjoyed the hot Springs, very kid friendly. Lots of variety in the pools there's a suitable temperature for everyone. Also kids water playground and water slide is great.

Liked · 1. Playground is wonderful! My son had such a good time with the electric cars - they had such a wide range of cars from police cars, excavators, Mercedes, and other sports cars. The police car has siren and lights as well. My son just drove it non-stop.... Playground is free if u stay in the hotel, so my son could go back as often as he wished. There's also a ball pit with slides, and some cooking and coloring things. Official checkin time is 3pm, but we got the keys at 2:30, and they allowed my kid to go in the playground at 2pm.
2. Hot spring pool has a water slide for kids which is the major reason why I chose this hotel. Then there's a very tall slide for adults - pretty exciting and I loved it.
3. Many flavors of hot springs with different temperatures. Even my 3 year old son could enjoy them.
4. Hotel provides a nice bath robe to wear down to the hot spring.
5. There is a spinner in the changing room to dry your swim suits.
6. Huge room and bathroom! Can turn on the tap to enjoy hot spring in ur own room too.

Disliked · 1. Bathroom dry and wet sections are not segregated, meaning shower water will spray on toilet seat, and floor can get all wet.
2. Breakfast is not so fantastic. Seems like a wide range of food, but the food are not very carefully selected. Eg the bread selections are just plain toast and bun with ?stuffing. No baguette, no croissant, nothing fancy.

We really enjoyed our stay. The kids had fun and the adults got some needed rest. The pool was great too! Will surely visit again.

Nice place, with a place for adults and elderly to soak in hot springs, and a playroom for kids.

Great hot spring and Spa experience for our family with excellent atmosphere and management. The buffet on the second floor restaurant was very good with local flavor nicely blended with sumptuous international cuisine and wide variety of deserts to put a nice finish on our great family spa day! We will be back for more soon...

Awesome hotel with great kids facilities and onsen. Wish they opened till 12am instead of 1030pm

This hotel is perfect for families. My kids had a blast. I personally loved the buffet; It was generous and diverse.

Highly recommend this luxury hotel. The common and private hot springs are rejuvenating.
